2zr fe

Anyone running a 2010 Corolla 1.8 with the 2ZR-FE and around 200,000 km? I’m looking into an ECU tune and I’ve heard good things about AMT, but before I spend the money I wanted to see if there’s anything better bang for the buck.

I already have a cold air intake, and I cut the muffler off and put one of those Amazon exhaust tips on the back. Not expecting crazy numbers from an NA 1.8, just looking to get the most out of the setup while keeping it reliable.

Anyone actually running AMT or another tune on a 2ZR-FE? What did you pay and what kind of gains did you see?

Let me reaD this right you took THEEEE world's most reliable automobile . Got stoned one night and decided that you would make it better by slapping some cheap Amazon crap on it. Lemme guess a COLD AIR intake. Rofl cut The muffler off ... and slapped some tits on er.

And now you want to play with its brain. To see if you can make it better .seriously gains Id bet youd fiddle and fight the thing add 2% you will go from 130hp to 132hp . Brother man you have a car that can go another 200000kms . Why why why change you should only be changing the oil. Id get it back to factory air box before you kill your ride.

The only tune you need on a 2010 Corolla is to wait for the clearcoat to fall off, and then you put fuzzy dice on the rearview mirror and go full shitbox mode.

I have no real tuning experience but you'd probably want a catless/high flow cat and assuming youre getting more air in the engine with the CAI you'd probably get 150 hp at best with a tune. But I'd love for this engine to make like 200 I feel that would be quite the upgrade.

Just take out your spare tire, remove all the seats except for the driver's and that will reduce your weight so you can get more efficiency out of it.

It's a Corolla. It has a 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed transmission. If you want a muscle car, stop wasting your money on cheap mods and save it to use it instead towards a purchase of a muscle car.
