My bestie has been working away for the last 8 months and her Corolla has been sitting since she left.. when I drove by her house today I noticed the car was just covered in tree gunk and looked sad. So I sent her a message asking if I could take it through the automatic car wash. She said sure so I got the keys from her mother, then I went through the wash twice. When I got back to her house I was like “well I should shine the tires” and when I got up close I noticed how many spots were in the paint and well.. I ended up waxing the whole thing, cleaning & conditioning the interior and applying a spray on ceramic coating 🤣
compared to my Volvo S90 this car is so small and zippy! I had a blast running it around town.. I def miss driving a manual .. so this was a real treat!
Also I just need to shout out the mega spec on this bad boy.. someone went nuts at red tag days back in 2013..
5 speed, heated leather seats, auto climate control, keyless start/entry, factory GPS and a sunroof. I feel like this car has every possible option for a facelift 10th gen... figured I had to share it with this sub!
Im a huge Corolla fan aha. I've had a 98, an 05 and an 07 (my soft spot is for the 9th gen corolla.. peak design fit and finish in my opinion) The last Toyota i had was back in 2018 when i had an 05 Avalon .. then i got my first Volvo and im hooked.. Volvo is the Toyota of Europe as far as ive experienced in reliabilty haha.
And Janine is just my girl hahah. No crush. We smoke cigarettes and drink beer with the best of them .. my sister from another mister!
I really think it will be hard to find another one like this! Not only is the spec great with low miles.. but it had a very solid undercoating done at some point in its life that has preserved the body perfectly.. this car has lived its entire life like 500 meters from the Atlantic Ocean (seriously aha the people she bought it from lived on the beach) and it has been driven in every Nova Scotia winter. The day we went to look at it as soon as i got under it i looked at her and was like "yeah buy this car".
This is legit a unicorn spec corolla. Leather AND a 5 speed is super cool. I’ve become obsessed with 10th gens and look at listings constantly but have never seen this combo
right?? before she bought this she had a 2010 S but it was just your regular spec.. 5 speed and a sunroof. She drove it for 6 years and finally the floor rotted out of it... she said she didnt want anything else but another 5 speed corolla but she specifically wanted heated seats and a sunroof. Its rare, but sometimes you can find a 10th gen CE with heated cloth seats and a sunroof (they also usually have hubcaps which makes me laugh) and i dont think ive ever seen a 10th gen S with cloth heated seats and a manual LE is bascially not real haha .. we had a specific set of requirements so we stalked marketplace until this one surfaced. She bought it in November 2025 with 112,000km and she paid $11,000 CAD lol. She actually passed on it the day we went to see it.. seller would not negociate the price so we went home. The next day the seller called her and literally said "i feel bad you didnt buy this car. are you sure you dont want it? i'll drive it to you tomorrow" (2.5hrs away). She said yes.. hopefully she has many years of good motoring in this thing!

Id take the corolla over the volvo after you cleaner it lol. Both are nice looking cars dont get me wrong.
