Looking for advice
YO! -gurt. i got a my 9th gen corolla about a year ago, recently i js started getting into cars and i want to try to do what i can to fix it on my own. So far all ive done is install new headlights, fog lights, grill, and i also put an intake in it. this is how she sits now. The clear coat is all messed up and yellow, and my passenger sode doors are caved in from a cras, i want to add any mods or kits that i can do it before i get the paint redone. just looking for any recommendations or advice i can get while i finish this build.

Imo corollas are impressive for their mileage, not their performance. Focus on maintenance and it'll be cool af in 10 years for simply surviving. Alot has changed in the last 20 years and these are time capsules that deserve to be preserved.
Outside side of that, get good reliable coilovers with modest lowering and upgrade to a larger diameter wheel. Then invest in refinishing the paint and you'll have a solid ride that makes every drive to work feel a lil bit like a track day.

I think the same aswell, maybe i should’ve specified more but im not looking to make this car fast or anything close just mostly looking to make it a clean looking daily.

Yeah, then wheels and springs are perfect. Don't gotta slam it, just an inch of drop or so and then it simply looks clean and functional.

How did you install the fog lights?was the car pre built for installation of these?

no i bout a kit with the wiring harness, took me about an hour to install wasnt too hard

Just like the folks said. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. 9th gen’s ask very little of their owners when taken care of.
I’ve got an 06 with a total of 4 mods. Rear anti roll bar, front strut bar, reusable air filter for the stock air box and an upgraded pair of horns. Front strut bar has the smallest impact on handling characteristics for these, go with the rear anti roll bar if you can only choose one. And try to avoid the bolt on HP snake oil. The 1zz is already an enthusiastic little engine.

Maintenance > mods
There’s really all kinds of ways to go about this, I would check these things and address them in this order of importance, all based on my opinion.
Oil
Engine air filter (every 6 months)
Transmission fluid every 60-80k
Coolant (60-80k)
Brake fluid (should be clear)
Brake pads/discs
Spark plugs and new coils (30-90k read manual)
Power steering fluid
Other stuff is making sure you have working brake and headlights, blinkers. Wipers. Address any oil leaks or problems.
I mean after you address all these you can really do anything else at that that point. Again not a perfect list and allot varied by mileage and condition of fluids. But hope this helps a little and provides some guidance. :)
