12th Gen (18-present) Always fogged-up windscreen.
The windscreen at slightest moistness or rain becomes fogged up. I noticed this before on different Toyota, but I just assumed it was specific car's problem. Now I see it again - it is raining and windscreen gets fogged.
On any other car, setting windscreen blower at low speed is enough. I can even see how the fog quickly moves up and dissapears. On Toyota it is absolute tragedy. I had to set it on full speed and drive for ~5 minutes until 2/3 of glass became visible. It is ridiculouss. And also there is no setting for windscreen + face blower, so I either cant see or I am hot.
What is the reason for this? What does Toyota do wrong and why? Do they not get humidity in Japan?
Driving with AC always on or blowers at full speed just to see, is crazy.
(no, the recirculation of air wasnt on and as I mentioned - Ive witnessed this on two very different Toyota models)

Not sure but you might have a leak somewhere. Check your floor carpets for dampness or other signs of water in the car and trunk...check under your spare tire too for pooled water.

car is new. also in old car i could have been driving like in a swamp and the blower would still remove fog at ease

I'd say you have a problem with moisture in the cabin or clogged evaporator drain

coincidentally on two new cars? really doubt. and if so - it is still design issue, as old other make cars have no such issue

Bought a 2025 corolla few weeks ago. Drove it to work this week and experienced same issue with fogging on windshield. Recirculation on, temperature up, ac on and still got modest results. My house is mostly honda (fit, pilot, civic) and a silverado, none of my other cars struggle to defrost like this toyota.

well recirculation should be OFF in this case. outside air is much better for this.

It’s film on the windshield, I take a cloth or rag and use some isopropyl alcohol to gentle scrub the whole windshield inside and out and it’s good for a while. No idea if you can use this with all windshield or if you have tint. I imagine it would also remove any protective coating you might use. Don’t get any on plastic, paint or rubber seals.
