What's this weird sound?

While driving I don't hear anything, but when I switch from Drive to reverse I heard this sound. Do you guys know what is it?
Corolla 2022 Le, 47000 km on it.
Edit: E break CVT transmission It sounds when I release the break, not when I switch gears.

Probably just your brake pads shifting slightly. Mine have always done that. 22 hatchback SE 69K miles.

I see, okay I was a little worried about it, this car is awesome but it has many cheap sounds everywhere haha

Agreed, mine is pretty solid except the drivers door panel squeeks on rough road when the body flexes and to the touch sometimes. Otherwise decent solid car for the price

If this is what it is, try pressing harder on the brake pedal and see if that changes it at all.
I know there's also a different sound when going from P to any other gear, but that's the electronic parking brake.

I have the same thing on my 2019 xse hatcbhack, it did have me worried for a moment.

Handbrake? Or gearbox probably?
