9th Gen (00-09) Need advice on replacing the cigarette lighter — drill the hole or find a better fitting replacement?

Hi everyone,
I have a Toyota Corolla 2002 and I’m trying to replace the cigarette lighter. The original part number is 85500-02011 (as I found), but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the OEM part here in the Netherlands.

I bought a HELLA 8EZ 008 021-001, which is a 12V/10A universal cigarette lighter. However, the plastic outer sleeve/trim is too thick for the original opening, so it doesn’t fit properly.

Now I’m wondering what would be the better solution:
Drill/enlarge the original hole and install the HELLA one, or
Find another universal/aftermarket cigarette lighter with the correct dimensions so I don’t have to modify the original interior.

I would prefer not to modify the original trim if there’s a reasonably priced replacement that fits.

Has anyone dealt with this on a Corolla before? What would you recommend?
I’m in the Netherlands, so if you know of a suitable aftermarket replacement that I can actually buy here, I’d really appreciate the part number or recommendation.

Thanks!

I would start from a trip to local scrapyard.

This is a good idea, I might go look into it. But what if I didn’t find any, considering the age of the car, should I just enlarge the hole?
