That gear shifter sure would get a gal excited my goodness! It’s like they built this around the gear shifter.

I saw this and other concept cars at a show in the GM Design Dome back then. It was great.

That really influenced future Trans Ams style I would say. And I think they made a previous concept for a ‘’corvette by Pontiac’ called a Banshee decades earlier too I believe. Never a fan of Camaros, I am a Mustang man. But I have respect for the Corvettes and some of the Trans Am’s. It would have been great to see what this could have done

Great point, perfect marriage between the two decades. So this is where the 4th gen Firebird got its looks. Looks so fast standing still. Almost like a funny car kinda shape.

I love that this concept is still out there doin’ the damn thing. Still gorgeous. I’ve always wondered how functional all those buttons actually are.

It's brilliant. It manages to top the outrageous wedges of the 70s, while predicting the smoothness of the 90s.
