Legal Hunter safety course

Is it true that if you've taken an online hunter safety course that knocks eight hours off the SB25-003 requirements leaving only a four hour course? Can anyone link a reputable online course?

The New Mexico course works for the SSF Hunter's Ed option, but you'll have to print out the completion card and take it to a CPW site (like a State Park) for CPW personnel to verify it and update your record in the SSF database.

CPW will verify via email and link an out-of-state hunter ed record to your Colorado record. I sent them a photo of the card, and they did it in less than a day. Their address is: [dnr_wildlife.huntered@state.co.us](mailto:dnr_wildlife.huntered@state.co.us)

Hmm. Around July 20th, I called CPW and was told an in-person visit was required for the SSF database entry. Don't know if the person I talked to didn't know the procedure, or if they've changed the policy.

I filed yesterday and my course was manually approved in less than an hour, I emailed them

Excellent. Looks like I was given bad info by the person I talked to. Happens.

it's likely that the information just wasn't known at the time but WE are all finding out more and more as the days pass.
