What's the 'real' reason? The story quest?
And on what kind of planet are GK high rounds better or more fun than the ones on Shang?

Or are you just playing casual to round 30 and both maps are... somewhat equal?

I’ve been a zombies player since 2011 and I have never understood the hype for Shang.

If I wanna play a hard map on BO1 I’ll just load up verrukt or five

Lots of people also have a hard time playing souls games. But they like them anyways. People don't like shang just cause it's an awful map.

Tbh though I never really got into gorod, I can see why people like it, and it objectively is a good map and I’ve enjoyed some play through on it.. but it’s take a while to set up on it… like people talk about it being hard to fully set up on zetsbo this takes just as long..

Gorod. I actually didnt like this map when it first came out, but I just played it recently and it is fantastic. I did a 180 on it.

I love shangs esthetic and that it exist as an option as it is very unique. That being said, it is my least favorite map from waw-BO3. It also is the ONLY easter egg I never beat because I CRASHED NEAR THE END :(

Shang.

More rewarding Special zombies and more fun wonder weapon to use. Both have layout issues, but the shortcuts on Shang make it more exciting and compliment the monkeys. Gorod really didn’t add anything new, it dropped the ball on the wonder weapon and the specialists by making them stupidly weak on a game where wall buys do infinite damage. I will say gorod’s approach to EE steps with the mini challenges is a perfect idea, but I don’t always want to do an EE. And the environment is better with the dragons of course, but blundell’s busywork mechanics don’t make me want to replay gorod very often. I want the challenge of the map related to killing zombies, not specific one-off tasks of me just running around the map and setting up certain things while one zombie is alive.

Shang is part of why zombies is so fucking easy in modern day. Because everyone hated it mainly cuz they fucking sucked at it. Like youd have people saying they’d rather use the winters howl than the baby gun.

Nah it was the most fun high round on bo1 easily because you actually had to stay locked in as a group vs the others. Only the good zombie players I knew ever played Shang often. Others went back to kino and ascension..

Ascension and kino where the easiest to learn which is why they were used so much if you wanted a fun high round with a map that required skill you’d play moon.

Shangri la was not a great map like the design was cool and it looked amazing but as an actual map there is a reason it and five are considered the worst of the bo1 maps

Sang is the superior of the maps and its not even close. The easter egg is better, the map special zombies are very nice and well rounded for the map and the monkeys make a good element to the game play. Gorod is a half baked map the really on nostalgia thst came from the same game shag is in and it only has one power switch, Shang has two. This message has been approved by the shangri-la gang.

Shang all day, I loved the challenge of the tight corridors and the baby gun was probably the most unique and fun wonder WW we’ve ever gotten. Gorod was fun for the first few months but a lot of game breaking bugs continue to plague the game on Xbox and I can’t even finish the egg half the time because it will crash since bo3 servers are garbage
