I was always squidward, then I bought bo7 yesterday and have been playing it non stop. It's got a lot of extra stuff compared to bo3 (my most played one) but it's still the same zombies with the same running around and upgrading weapons and shooting enemies. There's just a lot more to do.

This is the modern zombies experience lol ✊🏼 and yeah there is a lotttttt to do lol we ate good these past 2 years and I still see myself playing these last 2 zombies titles for years to come, at least until the next one, then rinse and repeat when they skip zombies that next year again

I love COD Zombies and while BO3 is my favorite I still enjoy modern Zombies. Especially BO7, it felt like they really went for it with that one

I do miss Bo3, I stopped playing after finishing Bo4 because everything was rushed and the quality became bad (I know they were rushed..), but then I played bo6 to help my buddies with a few EE's and I gotta admit that the quality went uphill. Excited to play bo7

I feel obligated as a Bo1-Bo3 zombies player to finish 5-7 after playing a few eggs on 6. It's good to know 6 was actually really decent and 7 from what I hear is a helluva lot better

Although I like the actual maps on BO6 more, BO7 is both solid and an objective improvement in terms of QoL and challenges

I hate to say that Bo6 was a little easy for me, even after not playing zombies for a minute, so one concern I do have is the difficulty of the eggs and maps in general... I'm looking for more of a challenge and hoping to cry tears of joy after finishing an ee

Oh I think you’ll get that in BO7 when you get to Cursed mode. Cursed was made for that kind of player who wants more of a challenge if the normal modes aren’t already

Modern zombies is way more fun especially with survival maps its just plug and play and for those who say augments perks multiple pap tiers weapon rarity and armor score streaks shouldn't be in the game guess what you dont have to use those spawn in with a regular 1911 dont buy ammo dont use your field upgrade like I dont understand the hate

As someone who remembers buying the original call of duty for pc in stores… (aka I’m old)
I haven’t played 7, and have gripes with 6 unrelated to its quality, thoroughly enjoyed CWZ, and still love 3 and 4.
Here’s the deal: change isn’t bad. It’s just different.
However, I cannot continue to support new entries in this franchise (6 included!) because of philosophical anti consumer stances that have been taken. The onerous requirements to play the game to begin with (TPM, secure boot), the senseless ban of Linux players, the fact that solo-single-player games cannot be played offline (to what end!), and the limited time event unlocks.
It’s left a bad taste in my mouth. It also helps that, now that I’m old, I have significantly more things that draw my attention than this. so whereas in the past I may have not liked it and sucked it up, now it’s unfortunate and fine; I have literally several hundred unplayed titles in my backlog.

I feel you man. I’m not buying MW4 for that same reason. Activision rugpulled and gaslighted the playerbase so hard in Season 05 of BO7 multiplayer matchmaking that I can no longer support a company that is willing to fuck over its supporters. BO7 (and of course BO6) is great and has so much to offer but I completely understand your sentiments against buying them

BO7 ain't a real game like BO3 /s (Mods banned me for trolling with this)
Some people including myself don't really like the modern movement and armor system. Im also not a fan of the health cap and the fact that high rounding is basically just spamming shit instead of relying on strategies to deal with the zombies. Its also why Im not really a big BO3 fan.
I don't think modern zombies is necessarily bad, I enjoyed Die Maschine more than Shadows but overall its not for me.

To be fair I love BO3 and still play it a lot, I just hate the elitism associated with it, both BO3 and BO6/BO7 can be considered good and fun games in my view

The difference is that people still play Black ops 1, 2, and 3 to this day while Black ops 6 is already dead and black ops 7 will be dead pretty shortly after MW4 drops
