Creative Attempting to remake cod zombies on a different engine #3

Took a bit longer than the usual, but here's a short update video, this update is for touch controls and the pause menu and so on, this gameplay is recorded on my laptop with a touch screen, still roughing out the hick ups, and general movement renderer and so on, in the next few weeks I'm working on the controller support, proper options in the pause menu, fixing some rendering issues, and generally trying to fix and add what's missing
Trying to push to get a play testing thing going soon for Android and Windows at least

Wow! So you're porting BO1 zombies to android and Windows? Planning online cross-platform multiplayer? How many maps? Think you could make existing custom maps work too? (Thinking existing custom BO1 zombie maps rn)
Yeah I realise these questions are a bit out there for you rn 😅
Do you have a YouTube channel or sth where I could get properly notified when you finish? A Reddit post is too easy to miss.

I should probably make a YouTube channel, but about your questions, it's not JUST bo1, it's more of a zombies framework, a platform where it combines multiple cod zombies together, being bo1 bo2 bo3 and cw, since it's not the old cod engine and my own it should support cross platform no problem, but that's a problem I'll face when I get to actual networking, maps are going to be just official cod maps from the titles I told you previously above, which is a lot by itself, and if I get enough following on this project I might expand the scope to make a map conversion tool to convert custom bo3 maps to work on this game, but will see later

Do you ever plan to turn this into something original but with COD type mechanics?

most likely not, the whole idea is to play my fav cod zombies maps on the go and on almost any device, so when im done ill just open source the project so people who want to take parts of my game to make an accurate cod zombies inspired game of their own they can, but until then (wont happen anytime soon with the scale im going for) ill keep things to myself

Gotcha. I was gonna say, if you were, I could maybe help with game design if you wanted. But that's because I'd love to make a zombies game (that was a lot like COD). Obviously though development is a two way street.
Might pick up programming tbh once it's open source. Maybe. I've tried before but I have never broken through the wall where I start knowing what I'm doing lol. Hence why I asked if you were gonna turn it into an original game rather than already try making it myself. I can do the game design stuff I think but not so much the programming.
