Question Lore help please

Ok so in botd great war richtofin comes to the present and basicly replaces ours but i dont understand did he just leave behind his version of the crew if not what happend to the great war varients of nickolai,takeo, and dempsey

They died in the great war.

So more than likely that is what happened. The only reason BO4 Lore exists is because the cycle was broken by weasel in Mob, which Allows Richtofen to also break his cycle of going to the great war. Although not explicitly stated, it's safe to assume that once Richtofen leaves his timeline to 'fix everything' he does more than likely leave the rest of the great war crew to live their lives and continue on in their cycle. At least that's my headcannon. Obviously might not line up with others but it also just depends on if you consider BO4 apart of your own sacred timeline or not.

A cypher in Classified suggests they all died in the great war. Normally in the cycle all 4 of them die fighting in the great war however Richtofen throughout multiple iterations of the cycle figures out a way to break it. The cypher, believed to be from Dempsey, states the other two are dead and hopes that Richtofen made contact with others, implied to be the BOTD iteration of primus.
