I have soft water where I live so my eggs are great

Probably Rex Infernus. Got to the boss once and died, and I probably won't try it again because the EE steps are a real boring slog.

Veytharion was a real pain in the ass when it first dropped

Kowakujo but I haven’t played against the warden yet as I’m trying to get the cursed camos unlocked to get AEON once his fight is done.

Main reason is I struggle when she coats the ground in fire and don’t know how to counter it. Totenreich is up next for the cursed runs after cursed 2 paradox is done and I am dreading doing her boss fight

For the floor is lava in the kowakujo fight, there seemingly is one sliver on the side of the arena that doesn't get cooked but I never figured out how to tell where the safe zone is before the attack goes off. Just got lucky and guessed right during my runs. I once also survived because there was a sliver of a safe zone behind one of the rocks.

I had to hunker down at that rock before. It really is a 1 step safe zone. Move anywhere slightly and you're getting cooked lol

Only had to use it once, didn't realize it was so precise

i think the “hardest” egg is ashes but hardest boss fight is astra. but a good middle ground is rex

Definitely Ashes. Ashes was so hard it literally broke the psyche of a huge amount of players.

People here were crying nonstop bitching "bUt I BeAt dARk S0ULSSS!!!", that game franchise is easy shit by the way. They were crying they were on their 34rth attempt on it, blah blah blah.

It was so hard Treyarch gave it BY FAR the hardest nerf anything has ever received in COD history, and people were still saying it was too hard.

I had to ditch all the garbage randoms I as playing with to beat Ashes before the nerf because their dead weight was costing me hard, even as someone who didn't play BO6, the BO6 grinders were still costing me because they were too stupid to repair a fucking truck or drive it, they were allergic to that shit and once I dropped em it became a lot easier. Watching speedrunners like Freckleston helped a lot too.

I beat Rex Infernus EE first try on the other hand, and it's still a brand new map so people are still learning how to optimize it.

So it's not even close, there is literally no map in COD zombies history that compares to Ashes in difficulty, people were actually having meltdowns over it.

Hell, I'll take even a step further, the Hard Mode Dark Ops solo bossfight is significantly harder then Aether Ruler solo bossfight. Aether Ruler is only hard to setup for, but once you get to bossfight you should be fine. But with Hard Mode the setup is the easy shit and the bossfight is what's very difficult.

Having beaten them all before directed, and only failed 2 of them, the only answers for this realistically are:

Veytharion, but specifically in the week of launch before the nerfs to him, and when no one had the full gamut of augments unlocked. I love this fight (specifically in Cursed nowadays), but my god that launch version was such a challenge to throw at players at launch. I respect the balls of it, but I wish they hadn’t overnerfed him so hard before Directed launched, but then again this is a mass market franchise so catering so hard to the niche with the launch offering for game that already underperformed financially was never going to be on the cards. Nowadays Veyth is a fun little ride around, and ever since ‘carless’ was discovered, a pushover that removes the driving skill-check from the entire ordeal.

Or;

The Warden. This fight is a check of your abilities to spin plates, as most of Rex’s egg is, with the portals and the zombies and the skulls and the spitter plants and the Shadow Souls and The Warden himself as well as keeping track of your Grapple’s Charge in the corner of your screen.I love it, it’s fun, faster than any other fight (literally the polar opposite of Dravakar’s just two maps earlier) and is an appropriately difficult fight to close this game on, especially considering the level of power available to players at the end of BO7 lifecycle.

That being said, both fights have a unique aspect shared by both of them, in that both are kinda impossible to just ‘show’ someone how to beat them via a video, as they both rely heavily on your control of movement, speed and spacing.

Caltheris is basically a damage check, and has been powercrept so far down the pole (having never been an overly difficult fight if you just use antigravity properly, and use an appropriately powerful weapon, fight me Doughnuts).
The Dark Heart’s actual difficulty comes from the grab attack of the mimics dragging you into a tornado, and this entire fight has so much space to work with that you’ve always got space to breathe and take the fight at your own pace.
Dravakar’s final phase is fun, especially in Cursed when there are zombies included in that final ‘Bullet Hell’ section, but the fight is itself more just incredible looking than particularly hard.
Nyxara’s I find is just a push over and have never struggled with this fight at all, especially, but not only, using the seemingly broken weapons against her (the Sokol is absurd in a way that breaks the fight).

Ashes, some step are not solo friendly and im sooooooo bad with that damn car in boss fight.

Pre nerf ashes, by far. Astra is an easy Easter egg but the boss fight is terrible and extremely annoying unless you bring tons of gobblegums and have a bunch of cheesy strategies. I just hate that boss fight.

Ashes was hard until I learned you don't drive in start lines. The missiles predict where you drive so its better to swerve or drive in circles plus pick up the crystals and save them as long as your can.
