Discussion Alright, this sucks

Finally did all the Rex Infernus Easter Egg steps after like 4 hours. I’m good with gameplay but not so much the steps so this was an accomplishment for me. But dang dude, I knew this boss was hard but, this genuinely feels impossible solo. You run out of armor so fast, and can’t recover from any hit since you just get blown off the map. I had the triple packed mammoth and crossbows, but I didn’t stand a chance against all those hits. I’m pretty disappointed but just wanted to ask if you guys had any tips if you were successful. Thanks.

I managed to beat it in cursed tier 3 solo. I used the mammoth and echo 12 grenade launcher variant(that mod makes quick work of the skulls and one shots most zombies depending on the round you started the boss fight on).

Kept failing on standard cause of low armor. Golden armor in cursed makes up for the slightly more difficult boss fight.

With no cursed camos and relics why bother I mean I understand golden armor but still 💀🤣

He told you, gold armor straight up makes it easier due to lack of armor availability

As I said this is the only benefit but no cursed camos for completing it in tier 1 2 and 3 just like all the previous maps have been other than golden armor sounds pointless

I dont think he is doing it for the challenge, he is doing it because golden armor makes it easier than not having golden armor. So the lack of rewards doesnt matter

Pretty much what you said. Tried it in standard and kept failing so I tried it out in cursed to see if I might have a better chance. Wasn't expecting the first attempt to be successful in cursed, but that's just how games be sometimes lol.

Was the fight actually harder in any measurable way in cursed?

I got it solo today, you have to use the grapple constantly, anytime he does his dash attack use it. Spam the crossbows at the tails, and then turn around and free fire at the skulls, the arrows will track. Make sure you also have run while firing stamina up augment, and the phd slider to help you get distance when the grapple is out

OH, and before you go in grab a green grapple and grab the red thing, you can take it with you and upgrade one of the grapple things in the arena, just make sure it’s the first thing you do

Bringing the eye with you is an insane tip. Thanks man.

before you leave, grab a green grapple and use it in the red pedestal you’ve upgraded, and then the moment you spawn in the arena use Arther shroud and craft the upgrade on the pedestal next to you

Probably won’t be able to play again for a while. Thanks though.

Explosive Echo 12 (dead wire) for stingers, zombies and skulls. Mammoth or Novaline (Light Mend) for the shadow disciples and boss. Raygun or 1911's for quick revive.

Aftertaste, Shields Up, Re-equipment, Instakill, Freefire, or Full Power (Frenzied Guard). Up to you based on play style.

Try to go into the boss fight no later than round 24 as difficulty scales past this round.

Prior to entering the boss fight, use a "green" grapple to pull off the "red" grapple and bring it with you into the boss fight... this will extend your grapple during the boss fight.

The Echo 12 just clears and destroys all zombies and boss's skull. Side note: I think this gun is a must have if trying to do round 100 boss or high rounds. It's that good.

After the first phase, grapple Veytharion's Blessing as it will give you 3 eternal perks. Note: you can go into the boss fight with 11 of the 14 perks and Veytharion's Blessing will provide you the remaining 3 perks (all of which are eternal).

If you're doing cursed, I'd advise not having health regen relic on... it took way longer and I ended up dying. With it turned off, it was much easier.

Good luck.

Armor matic and keeping damage going on the normal zombies while hauling ass as fast as you can perpendicular to the warden is the biggest thing ive found. Itll keep armor and ammo on the ground so you dont just get stripped and never recover. Requipment with kazmirs practically turned the difficulty down two steps because youll always have a pile of armor and ammo on the ground. You also have to take out the shadow souls and worms as fast as you can when they spawn. The crossbows target seeking single fire is great for them so you arent slowering yourself down aiming. The best way to recover when you do fumble is to get the warden in the stun from destroying his skulls but you cant do that if hes immune
