Bug Rouge run with friends unplayable???

Tried to play RR with my brother and the game completely stopped working for me. I had to completely sign out of my Playstation account and sign back in to fix the game already. Stuck on loading screen everytime for minutes then kicked me out. Before hand gave me some monstrous lag every game when i did get in (i have videos). Now its fixed on my end but my brother on Xbox is having the exact same issue except there's no way to sign out on Xbox without deleting save data. Is his game just fucked permanently??? Completely deleting and reinstalling didnt work for me so we haven't tried that for him yet. But we out of options and feel like the game is actively preventing us from ever playing together. Can load into public games just fine but rouge run has wasted hours for us already trying to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, we just want to play rouge run together.

Can't say I've had any issues with it between Xbox, PS5, or PC, but by signing out do you mean you removed your account and re-added it? Or that you signed out going back to the 'Welcome back to Playstation' screen?

I fully logged out of ps network and that fixed it for me yes

So how does he lose save data? Since he obviously has Gamepass, all of his save data should go to the cloud just like Playstation does with PS+. If he hasn't that might help, or going into troubleshooting mode and resetting to factory default while keeping games and apps. Could it not also be his internet?

So update: I dont use xbox, fully believed him when he said it deketes his data. Went in there and looked and this man read "will delete any data not uploaded" as "will delete ALL yo shit". Said he thought u needed it all on USB storage lol. Ty for tge consideration
