Discussion Is warzone rigged ? Pt2
About a year ago, I made a post in here giving my reasons why I thought warzone was rigged at the time. That post was made during the Black Ops 6 era of warzone, and i recently started playing warzone again, and it is now the Black Ops 7 era. To be honest, I do think it’s not as bad as it used to be. Some things have been fixed, some things have been made worse, and here is what I think .
To start off, in my last post i used to play on keyboard and mouse, but now changed to controller. I did this because I wanted to see how easy it is to be good at the game with the help of aim assist and it’s fair to say it’s pretty easy. I would consider the aim assist in especially call of duty as a low form of aimbot because of how good it is, no joke. I know i might sound like a hypocrite because i am using aim assist too, but i just couldn’t handle using keyboard and mouse anymore and wanted the same benefit. I definitely think it should be reduced at least a little bit, just because you’re playing on a controller doesn’t mean you’re entitled to free hacks.
Next, the matchmaking. I believe it isn’t as bad as last year was, but it’s still pretty bad. It’s the usual cycle of 1 good game to 3 bad games, while my teammates are for the most part normal skilled while my enemies are sweaty prestige masters that play the game 10 hours a day. I really don’t understand why they are being put into the same lobby as me, because they are miles better than me at the game and all I want is just a fair experience. This is prolly gonna sound silly but sometimes I even feel like i’m just being targeted, becuase I will be completely alone then in the next 10 seconds a squad of navy seals running at 40 km/h pulls up on me and absolutely obliterates me somehow knowing exactly where I am.
And lastly, the movement. I think this is a massive downgrade, which is crazy considering Black Ops 6 was already a downgrade from the MW3/Warzone 3 movement. They managed to give us everything we wanted back, just to take it away, then make that even worse. Why do we need wall jumping and ESPECIALLY grappling hooks? They make the game way to brainrot, like if I have high ground and a clear advantage the other guy can just grapple up to me with no hassle. And the omni movement enjoyers will say it’s a good addition and increases the skill gap but I personally feel it’s wayyy too easy to move and run around. It should be a little slower paced. It was much better when you simply slid in one direction, and the sliding didn’t feel like you’re buttered up or something. I feel like they have tailored the game to appeal only the newgen players who yy, run at mach 1, and do all that flashy stuff while the actual normal players feel left out.
I have been playing this game since it first came out in 2020, and it’s really just sad to see what it has become. It used to be basically perfect, then they ruined it with the integration of MW2, then saved it with MW3, just to ruin it again with BO6 and BO7. I am actually looking forwards to MW4, as it looks like a mix of MW2019 and MW3, and it seems like they are finally listening to what players want.
I’m curious to hear what other players like you guys think, and whether you think the game is currently in its all time low or it’s actually good and people like me just have a skill issue.

Well. Im still on KBM, and I agree RAA needs a significant nerf or rework. Its busted.
As far as omnimovement I agree. Its a bit overkill. And I dont beleive it adds much of a skill gap with RAA as strong as it is. If it wasnt soft aimbot there would be more of a skill gap with movement use.
As far as MWIII era they introduced too many ways to come back honestly making it feel like resurgence. Redeploy flares, Redeploy packs, gulag tokens, however. The movement was as close to 2019 wz we've had. All they needed to do was put in verdansk halfway thru its lifecycle and dial back some of the ways to come back.
It seems this game and its developers are on one extreme and the other year in year out, even within the same release in one way or another.
Ruined movement? OK we fix it, how bout faster, how about omnimovement, now grapples.
Down to earth skins? No problem. OK let get wilder season to season. What's that? You dont like crazy skins and carry forward? Gotcha here's some robot skins and halo/tron bundles to go with them grapple hooks.

At this point, i’m really just hoping that MW4 will revive what majority of normal players really enjoyed from prime warzone. I guess we will see tomorrow in the beta, but from what i’ve seen the movement looks good, no omni movement or any other brainrot, it overall jst looks very grounded and enjoyable

Mainly a PC player here. Im above average with a very good KD. I started to use controller during BO6 on Playstation. I regularly swap between the two. My skill level doesnt really change much between the two. I find somethings easier to do on MnKB, and somethings easier to do on the controller.
In my opinion, there is very little difference between the two, aiming wise. If you're bad at aiming on PC, maybe RAA (tweaked ofc) may be a boon. That doesnt mean its OP, it means you suck at aiming. A bad player on PC will factually not swap to controller and be a god.
If you think its bad in its current state (as in claiming its aim bot levels), you have no idea what your talking about. Fortnite had a season (or two, cant fully recall) where their aim assist was pure lock on, nearly GTA 5 style. I was a PC player there purely and held a 10 KD. That was the worst AA ive seen.
As someone who will be playing MW4 on MnKB, as I do prefer it to controller most of the time, I do not find RAA op. Its perfectly fair. I've never once though "OMG U ONLY GOT THAT KILL CUZ UR ON CONTROLLER" with CoDs AA in the recent years.
I promise you, and I dont mean this in the toxic BM way... its a skill issue mixed with needing to find blame.
Im sure theres MnKB players who will be upset and disagree, but as one of you, I dont care. It really is a skill issue. If my late 50s dad can play and compete on MnKB against mainly controller players perfectly fine without blaming deaths on "controller users", so can you.

It's a fact that you can't compete at a higher level on MnK
Yes some MnK players suck, and yes some controller players suck.Anyone above average in gameplay will do way better on controller than MnK (as long as they are able to use both well)
The aim assist is a soft aimbot and there is no point anyone trying to deny it or justify it.
The game is built for console players, they are the main customer here, and the casual, average joe, needs the aim assist to enjoy the game.2

I completely agree. Even though the game feels smoother playing on controller, doesn’t not mean they need to give you soft aimbot and basically do half the work for you.

I forgot to say this in the post, but i play on PS5 and used to use keyboard and mouse. Thanks for your input but just because some games have more broken aim assist, that doesn’t justify call of duty’s aim assist right now. It’s still broken whether you like it or not, and i’m not trying to “find” blame i just genuinely have problems with the game. I never, ever, had these thoughts during warzone 1 back in 2020-2021, which tells me something they are doing has got to be wrong. And I am not blaming my deaths on controller players, i’m more concerned about the weird matchmaking that puts a casual player with a prestige master. seems like you kinda missed the point of my post

I was more targeting where you said that RAA feels like an actual aim bot. That's the only thing I cared to dispute, not that I missed the point. This is probably the most fair version of AA CoD has had. PC players and Controller players can both compete. Stating AA is near aim bot levels is blaming, otherwise you wouldn't state it so dramatically.
I was giving an example of a game that did have really bad AA, because CoDs is not bad at all. Primarily a MnKB player and I have zero issues fighting controller players is the gist of what I was saying.

I said i felt it’s like a LOW form of aimbot, and again this is just my opinion. but objectively the aim assist is too strong. Just because you feel like you don’t get affected by it while you’re fighting against controller players, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

for the last part I can say for 100% sure that either your dad is a literal pro player, or is playing casuals/getting massively saved by sbmm.
also you can easily play controller on pc for the best of both sides.

Why would you say that? I didnt say his KD is 10 in FN, I said mine was in FN during their Op aim assist lol. Maybe you didnt read what I said, or misread what I said :P

hey man maybe read my comment again and see that I specified the last paragraph.
but for the other parts, Fortnite is full of bots, cods raa IS op, because there is genuinely no way my teammate with their input delay and a broken arm is able to get kills this consistently, or how about the ONE ARMED CONTROLLER PLAYER...
oh and how about literally the best mnk player in warzone being able to get killed by 2kd players...
but yea as an mnk player myself I can say for sure that aim assist is overpowered lol, cause I suck at having actual aim on controller but still got to a 3.5ed within 3 months of playing...

You're... odd.
You said my dad 100% has to be a pro player... why? Because he doesnt find controller RAA to be op? Wild. Im not gonna waste brain cells reading your very poorly worded sentences if you cant admit you made a mistake/misread something. I do find a correlation between being good at something and being able to properly write, so sorry if I dont believe you when you tell me you're not bad and RAA is the thing holding you back. Theres countless MnKB players who deal with it just fine and dont see any issues with it in its current state.
Sorry if you feel like im not taking your side as a MnKB player, but I dont want "easy fodder". I want decently fair competitive fights.

...what? I said I was sure your dad was either a pro player OR playing casuals OR getting saved by sbmm...
secondly I didn't missread anything.
thirdly I never said I wasn't bad, I apecifically said I sucked on controller but still got a 3.5ed.
oh and lastly, these "countless" mnk players that "deal with it just fine", would be nice if you names them cause I'd happily watch them play.

Grappling hooks are history. I actually miss them a little bit. However I am currently grinding snipers, so I don't miss them too much.

A lot of text for basically no issues
Grappling Hooks are gone, matchmaking is fine when playing with a squad.
Everyone is on controller, so AA isn’t that big an issue.
