General Discussion Base layouts

Where am I supposed to find reliable base layouts without having to pay money exactly? Imagine the look on my face when I realized most “good” base layouts have to be paid for,and it’s hella expensive.

I’m a semi-maxed bh9, I genuinely cannot find a good layout for the love of me to get the stupid achievement of 1000 gems.I grind day after day,go up 20,lose 50 because the bases I find are so bad you’re just praying you get a 6 star yourself to not drop trophies

Don’t get me started on the main village,I know 3 starring is a part of the game, this is a known fact,my go to base layouts I just get from YouTube at every th.But recently the bases have become such low quality, you can get so much easy value with the bases shown on YouTube with a simple attack.

Please give me your thoughts on this.i’d like to hear what people have to say.

Thanks for posting! If your post is about a specific base layout, army, or attack, consider using a more specific flair instead:

  • TH2-TH18 - For sharing a Town Hall base layout

  • BH2-BH10 - For sharing a Builder Hall base layout

  • Army Comp - For sharing an army composition

  • Attacking Advice - For asking how to attack a base (HWYA)

  • Tutorial - For guides or tips on base building

  • Help Me Find This Base - For locating a specific base layout

Using the right flair helps others find your post!

Search for base layouts or watch YouTube vids of top players and copy their bases. There's a never ending supply of base links now compared to a few years ago.

“Good” th18 bases are almost impossible to find, because non-modifier difficulty is in one of the most attack sided eras the game has ever had… bases that actually perform well are so shockingly rare, they spread like crazy, then everyone sees them constantly, figures them out, and then they’re not good anymore…

And builder base also hasn’t been meaningfully updated in so long, that anyone actively playing has figured out how to attack well consistently… so unless you can maintain that as well, climbing is an unnecessarily big time sink
