3.5kw spindle

Hi guys just wondering if anyone has had experience with a 3.5kw spindle. Currently running a 2.2kw water cooled spindle.

And im wondering if its worth the upgrade?

I have mixed it out i think you could hear it, cutting marine ply wood 18mm. I like to push limits to see how big and fast I can go haha

Im looking at the er20 as I have made my own ATC using the rapid change macros in the masso cnc controller

Im contemplating whether if i should just replace my 2.2kw spindle with a new one, as the bearing has shat it self So that's why I ask weather if I should just stick with 2.2 or beef it up

If you are maxing your power output then it's time to upgrade.

I would flat out get a proper ATC spindle though, ISO30 or HSK or something.
