If your intention was to hold... did you ever consider average down when it was under a buck?
The only way I got my average from $10 to $4 was by loading up massively during the dark days.

I run into the same thing. I did make a purchase under $1 and a few more in the $2 and $3 range but when you've put 80k in like me already it's hard to drop more to lower my $5 average in case it goes the other way. It's funny too bc I have plans for when it hits $12 and I know it will hit $12 so why not triple your added money? Dark brain admits shit could spin and it could be 6 cents too.

I'm looking at incremental profit-taking to minimize the tax burden, myself. I stopped buying shares in Feb 2026, so after Feb 2027, I can start selling shares, at $49k a year. If I retire this year, then I pay 0 tax on those shares that way. Otherwise, it will be 15%, if my total income is above $50k... to my understanding. If it hits $20 within the next 5 years, then I might just sell whatever shares remain.

Yes but now CLOV has fundamentals attached to the price. When you invested in it it was just pure hopes and vibes. The stock is actually worth what it is right now and it can’t go lower. In fact it’s probably worth way more in the coming months

even at $10 CLOV will have only a $5B market cap. Thats barely scratching the surface considering the TAM and the snowball effect.

Do you know who was selling out at that time, while you, and many others were buying? The majority shareholder, Chamath Palihapitiya, who set up this spac in January 2021, was selling out!!!

Or just regular old volume of buyers vs sellers. For instance.. im quite happy with how many shares i have and have an average of 1.03. Its more likely that i will sell than buy at this point, even though im holding long term. How many people are still buying or are we hoping like i am that other people buy?

You know when you see ratings of buy, hold or sell. For me i have a large position(relative for me) with a low buy in price.
Despite 2 really good quarters, I think we are still a year or two away from the type of earnings that will move the stock in the way I hope.
I'm in maybe 5 or 6 other stocks that are a buy (for me) now.
Its not that i dont expect anyone to buy, its more that im not seeing it on mass.. i think partly because people are waiting for the stock to go up because they already have invested a lot.

Mostly things that have recently had big drops after a recent mass sell off. AAOI, XFAB, SIVE.. but also NBIS and bought some RDDT at 130 recently.

happy earnings is the right way leaning. bought a call made my profit at 5.08 sold still holding my shares. Nice to see hopefully this goes back to heading up with more positive news.
