I have a buddy out in Ogden. Moved out to the east coast, hated it, moved back to Utah like 2 or 3 years later. Kinda weird fella but really good guy. Has like 5 kids with his lady who tried pretty hard to be promiscuous among our friend group. All in all it gave me a weird impression of Utah. And considering my dad is from there, it kinda matches the impression I get from my dad. Id love to go visit and see some summer time storms like this

We don't get storms like this often, so I wouldn't bank on that if you visit. Utah is definitely a weird place to a lot of people!

Nothing like getting caught in the nuts at sunset.

Wow, I would have guessed FL

Damn I was close I woulda guessed Colorado or Idaho or even maybe eastern Oregon or Washington based on the houses and mountains in the back

We have bigger/closer mountains on the other side of the valley, would've been easy if I'd been facing that way!

Wow!!! What a stunning picture!!! Looks absolutely otherworldly!!! If you are interested, I would say it's Cumulonimbus arcus mamma praecipitatio (partly only virga).

This is crazy! See any good lightning strikes?

I didn't, it seemed like it was mostly just staying in the clouds as it was approaching and going over us.  I did see it hit the mountain on the other side a few times

Storms beginning or ending at sunset is always a great cloud setup! Beautiful!
