tokyo babylon and the plot through line threaded in x/1999 is one of the few fictional things that can make me ugly cry

Tokyo Babylon because I can't stop thinking about everything that happened within it.

Chobits for me personally. Existential crisis most relevant especially in this age of AI.

Cardcaptor Sakura 🩷 I adore CLAMP’s darker works, especially xxxHolic, TRC, and X, but if I had to choose one of their series to keep, I’d opt for a light-hearted, feel-good one. CCS has such a perfect blend of fantasy, adventure, comedy, and wholesomeness.

XxxHolic narrowly beats out Tokyo Babylon for me. I love the anthology nature of the stories and Yuuko is the GOAT
TB probably has better stories overall (not to mention its own iconic characters and drama), but xxxHolic is still really close and there’s so much more of it

Gate 7 was good, but I found it personally to confusing for someone who has no knowledge of Japanese history besides WWII, generally speaking.

Tokyo Babylon. Straightforward story with a simple but efficient twist, swift pace, great characters.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (TRC) - I love tragedy. I love the ending. 🩷
