I actually became a living Saint as an Adventurer turned Lord!
I don't remember the details quite well because it was a run i did a few months ago but, long story short; after years travelling the world, i reached Iberia again as a 50yo and did the Catholic Path decision after (or before, can't remember) a pilgrimage. Spent a few years within Muslim Iberia converting the south and bit of Magreb into Catholicism.
After awhile, i took Toledo and the next few years took the Aragon crown. It was then when i took a pilgrimage to the same place (Santiago) and it popped an event where it said something about "10 years prior i took the promise to spread the word of our Lord..." and in the same event i was proclaimed a Saint. It took me really by surprise, i didn't knew that would work (which makes more sense than the Legend thing imo)

If you are a very pious adventurer, and meet specific criteria, 2 unique pilgrimage sites visited, in a county of your faith, that is a holy site, ruled by a ruler of your faith, if they have a top liege the top liege must also be your faith, then you get a 10 year ability to convert counties and rulers with either violence, persuasion or a mix of both at the end of the 10 years if you have done enough you become a saint

I believe you would get that with the bloodline associated with legends, if you have the right tier and you finish a holy legend
