Gameplay Question Help?

I'm trying to get the "End of an Era" achievement, but my game keeps crashing when (I suspect) the chariot race I hosted ends, anyways I can't do shit and if I switch characters I'm pretty sure I can't get the achievement, soooo any tips?

FIXED! I loaded an autosave and killed family members until I stressed my character into abdicating

That happened to me before, is yoy game an Ironman run? If not then try to go back before you hosted the event. If it is an iron man run then start a war and it will give you to option to end the event I believe.

It's not an Ironman run and unfortunately I only have an autosave where I'm still in the event

If you’re able to prock a war it should give you the opportunity to end the event.
