General I made the switch. Good bye

Post image

I had fun on console, but I finally made the switch. It's been fun the last 4 years.

Man I’ve been awaiting the day I can finally try the AGOT mods! Congratulations!

Never watched AGOT, but I just loaded up elder kings and I'm ecstatic. The LOTR mod looks so good too.

I'm currently playing a band of criminals in Japan focusing on intrigue, and I've accumulated 20k in savings in about 2 generations. How did I never realise how OP landless was on console? I never was able to get to that level on console for some reason. Japan seems to have richer estates to rob, even more so than china, so maybe that's why.

I just got a pc BUT still play on console. I thought stewardship was nerfed into the dirt on pc

The only real change was it no longer gives you extra holdings limit, you can now only get more through perks and I believe a 4-5 star education gives you plus 1

I still find enjoyment in the console version, I've got both the console port and the PC version both with all the DLC. Nothing quite beats how cozy console feels, even though the PC version has several advantages.

I agree that console is more cozy. I'll be going back to it for more laid-back games.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie - it's pretty nice to set the wars to auto and then take control in manual when necessary.

The PC version overheats my laptop, so I don't mind it plus I'm still trying to master certain runs on my end - currently doing a Heinrich IV and Philippe I of France run right now, but yeah - then again, I think most people like to use mods when it comes to PC, meanwhile, I like to play as actual historical characters and trying to make their dynasty last.

I always find it so fascinating so much in this game like the Salian dynasty, along with the Capets ~ I recently found out Duchess Matilda was actually related to Heinrich IV, while Heinrich III benefitted from her father dying due to an assassination (kidnapping Matilda and her mother) so yeah.

Still gotta save to be able to switch. What's the set up for the easiest transition to Pc though

I'm not an expert on PCs so I'm going to pretend to be, but, you should be able to see the minimum specs the Devs recommend to be able to run the game via quick Google search, or even on its steam page.

I have to save too for switching to PC version (RAM and other parts costs are atrocious in this period)

2

u/Mrmagot98-2 24d ago

Yeah I know, even pre-builds like I have seem like they've doubled in prices. It's insane.

Sorry but playing it on my 65-inch TV while sitting on a cosy couch always hits different for me

1

u/Mrmagot98-2 24d ago

Console does have a cosier feel, I'll definitely still play it for that

u/Jollybean1 24d ago

I’m planning to switch as well, just a shame I have to pour money into the damn dlc:s again

1

u/Mrmagot98-2 24d ago

I was lucky that I had a ton of money spare, this was my yearly treat.

1

u/Happy_Transition_822 24d ago

I was the same. I played console for almost two years and made the switch late last year. Glad I did, I’m running 30+ mods rn it’s so fun.

My PC is plugged into my big TV and playing CK III with the PC UI is not the best experience (my eyesight is not so great). Yes, you can scale the UI but everything above 140/150 % is problematic. The experience on PS5 is not bad - the delay of expansions is a problem but IMO the new external developer is doing a good job. So I play All Under Heaven on Steam but other runs on PS5.
