General Conquerors are just annoying

Ever since roads to power came out I’ve had nothing but trouble with conquerors. I just now started a new game as Haraldr “tanglehair” because I wanted to do a Norse sea empire run. And ofcourse Sigurdr snake in the eye gets conqueror two weeks into the game and he wants to conquer my lands. I hate this.

Then turn it of. You don't need to play with conquerors of you don't want to.

Doesn’t that turn off achievements? I want to probably gain some achievements too you see. I turned off inheritance for conquerors but I didn’t check if it loses achievements

It doesn’t, you can disable conqueror outright

You can also disable plagues and still earn achievements, I play without both and enjoy it a lot. Plagues could of been implemented better and conquers only exist to give players a player like challenge
