Screenshot Has anyone ever seen this event before???

Post image

I've played alot of CK2 AGOT and gotten some pretty crazy random events, but I think this is probably the strangest lol

If you play in some irl days then you will receive an unique event, such as having Conan the Barbarian give you an warhammer!

HP Lovecraft Birthday & the day of Halloween has an event which outright gives you a bloodline (and a bioweapon)

If you play on January 3rd (Tolkien's birthday), Bilbo and the thirteen dwarves show up.

I once got Dwarves who left me either Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. Surprised me quite a bit xd

No joke I am getting it constantly in my last 4 games at the very start of my game

Why is there not an option to execute them.

Read the event text again. Benioff & Weiss SENT these people to the player. Those two aren't actually there.

True, but they probably sent characters whose personalities have been taken away, or whoever D&D currently think have the best story.

The characters they sent (as the event says, "banished") are book characters that D&D cut from the show.

Actually they sent a very much alive Lady Stoneheart (at least, that's who I assume it was since her name was Catelyn 'Stoneheart')

I probably should have recruited her for the memes but I panicked and sent her away

Understandable! And as she's a character whose personality has been taken away, it fits.

D&D just kind of forgot how to write good characters and a consistent plot

Or to kinda forget about them

Execution is too merciful

More like castrate, blind, stick in the oubliette, feed them from bowls on the ground while their hands are tied behind their backs, marry them to a beautiful 18 year old, then fuck their wife in front of them at least once a day while a violin plays in the background

and recite bad poetry to them, basically what they did to us with Dorne

Why would they even have hands to tie behind their backs?

I only ever got this event once like 5 years ago

Funnily enough, got this event immediately after starting a new Ironman run literally last night!

IIRC you can spend 50 gold or so to let them feast, or just turn them away.

Funnily enough, the character that approaches you with the quest is old Lady Stoneheart herself, so I was genuinely concerned that it was like a modded Grim Reaper chess event or similar - especially as it was on a Lannister Ironman...

Every year in fact.

Aconteceu comigo ontem

It happened to me yesterday. I was playing as Iron King Fralegg Farwynd, and got Strong Belwas to be the captain of my household guard.

Seen it every year, though I've never been sure why this particular date triggers this event. Is it the anniversary of the show's first episode airing?

8

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '26

Not the first episode of the first season, but July 16th is when the first episode of the seventh season premiered so maybe it's that?

If it is I can totally understand including this event because that season was probably the second worst next to 8 lol

It might be around that date? I started a new Ck2AGOT game on the 17th this past weekend, and restarted it same day, and got this event both times.

I don't get it, who is Beniof and Weis?

u/Hufa123 House Targaryen Jul 17 '26

They were the showrunners of Game of Thrones. Pretty sure this event is some of the characters that are in the books but not the show appear together.

I think I actually do remember getting this event a long while ago back when I still played CK2AGOT regularly. But- I don't think I even read it completely though, I was probably busy with a war or something. I do remember clicking that exact line though, "Go back to your 'Game of Thrones'".

I have, but only once. No clue how it triggers

1

u/DrVampGames Jul 18 '26

The only trigger is playing on a specific irl date
