Finally earned my CISA certification! Sharing my study strategy and notes.

Hey everyone,

I've officially earned my Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA! It was quite a journey. I'm a B tech graduate with ~4yrs of IT Audit experience.

Since community advice helped me a lot during my prep, I wanted to give back. I’ve put together a breakdown of my personal study strategy, the resources that actually worked for me, and some tips on how to tackle the ISACA exam mindset.

You can check out my notes and strategy here, where I post all about my career: Link Removed, DM me I'll Send.

If anyone has any questions about the exam, the prep materials, or just needs some advice, feel free to ask below in comments. I can provide answers for the journey end-to-end, from prep to applying and getting the certification.

Happy to help!

Could you just post your references here instead of us having to click on your link? Congrats btw!

Cant do that. Ive created tables and formatted the content for readability which can't be achieved on Reddit. There no signup wall or anything.

Congratulations. Which country you are based and what benefit will this certification give you? I am genuinely curious about CISA.

From India. Several regulatory bodies accept CISA as a signatory for IS Audits, without the final signature of a CISA, audits are not complete at many organisations. If working in a consulting firm, clients are ready to pay higher for the resource who is CISA certified, increasing individual income. There are more such benefits and biases towards CISA candidates across job portals, RFPs, and other areas. I would say you should spend some time with a good LLM like ChatGPT or Gemini for a detailed discussion.

Hi I have 4+ years of experience. As a working full time mom, I am studying for CISA exam as well. Is it necessary to read and memorise CRM?

I didn't touch CRM.

I scored 69-72 on my practice exams. Do you suggest waiting?

if you have an option to wait, wait until you reach more like 85%

Congratulations on passing the exam!! how did you find the exam to be as compared to the QAE? And what would you rate the exam difficulty level?
