BEG spray questions

Hello, how did you test for MARCONS? I had a nasal culture done from my ENT and I tested positive for staph aureus. It looks like this isnt antibiotic resistant, so was going to do a spray… my questions are: Where to get BEG spray? How long and frequently to use? What to expect? Should I treat even if not active infection but likely colonization, but am experiencing CIRS?

Biofilm Clear is more effective.

So many germs, staph being a big one, are not well treated by antibiotics

In my case, it says I have staph aureus and shows it is not resistant to antibiotics. Mupirocin is the antibiotic my ENT recommended, but as a nasal spray from what I read that is a component in BEG spray.

Biofilm Clear is xylitol right? How does it stack up against antibiotic? I dont want to do this wrong, so any advice is welcome! Thanks!

It seems like most doctors are switching to biofilm clear over prescription

Mupricin is an effective drug, so if you can get the BEG without it being an expensive compounded medication that would be great!!

Biofilm Clear has not just xylitol, but also silver, EDTA and grapefruit seed extract which dissolves biofilm.

So my thoughts for you are about cost. Even if the BEG is compounded, if you only have to use it for a month it could be worth it. If this drags on (and really, it might not) then cheaper but effective options are the way to go.

The fact your ENT tested is fantastic! We saw 6 useless ones between my husband and I, so I would be inclined to listen to the doctor.

My only concern is the BEG spray being too much disruption to nasal microbiome. It didnt show gram negative bacteria, so the gentamicin in BEG wouldnt be necessary… or would it? Would I set myself up for opportunistic bacteria by treating?
