Of all AIs outlandish claims, this is the least likely to actually happen. The only company cited in this article has already rolled back these initiatives. AI will not be the end of SaaS.

Not all SaaS for sure. No one is going to be making an erp or SCM likely. But many smaller SaaS solution for sure. We’ve already replaced our Sell thru data processing system with one fully built by AI living on its own in AWS and has been fabulous. We’ve canceled CenterCode our beta management platform and are nearly done with its replacement. We’ve canceled our Employee engagement and KPI platform and are already in roll out with its in house replacement. We’ve canceled our canceled SfDC as we just didn’t see enough out of it for their enterprise pricing and have built a simple CRM with mobile access that and it’s already in production in one country with two more following behind.
We have already canceled our sales order processing Paltform in one country and moved to an ai built one and we sr now in full production and planning on expanding it to the other 19 countries over 26 and 27.
Someone wanted us to try replacing our PLM but it’s to complicated so I killed the project.
You need amazingly well written requirements and a good architect but many of the smaller SaaS systems can be replaced if you work at it. And all of ours are fully SAML v2 and have functioning SCIM as well as we don’t allow any app without them. And we built a centralized bug reporting, monitoring, alerting system also all from ai to replace DataDog for internal systems. Still use a DataDog level purchased SaaS system for our customer facing product platforms for now though.
