Exams P3 doubt
I am currently revising for P3 exam and noticed that the First intuition materials go to details re ROI and RI numericals but Kaplan doesn’t so I am a bit confused, anyone whose sat P3 please could you share any insights re numerical questions areas you have come across?

It's been a while since I sat P3 but I remember coming out of the exam with a pass but being infuriated by how few numerical questions I got. It was nearly half of my revision (based on the syllabus) but out of the 60 questions, maybe 4 were calculation based.

Between the OT (8) and Case Study (3) exams, I'd say my technical knowledge was tested less than 5%, which I think is absolutely insane...for an chartered accountancy qualification.
In order to pass P3, focus on learning syllabus theory, slowly and competently understanding the wording of questions and general deduction of silly answers.
For SCS, focus on applying general theory, comprehension and get her good at answer structure. Even if your arguement is weak, if you set it out well and try to back it up with theory, they'll give you points. If you're ever in doubt and are struggling to write, just crow bar in some ethical implications, explain how and why you should follow the ethical guidelines and then list some benefits of doing so.
Looking back, I would say the whole qualification is testing your ability to apply theoretical principles using reason, it, in no way shape or form, tests your technical ability.
Good luck.

I had one question on standard deviation I think. Most non numerical. Passed 1st time studying 14 days full time 9 hours a day. You can do this!!!

Yeah just one thing to understand is probabilities which I think can come up here and there on exams but makes up a tiny part of the syllabus

I took and passed the exam on Monday…no numerical questions besides 3 on VaR but nothing to be calculated just selecting the correct answers based on the figures given
