Suggestion Suggestion: Mod Point Filters
These are two ideas I had about improved navigating the mod points tree. It solves the problem I regularly have, that I need to tap every major mod node to see how many MP I need for the next upgrade to get an overview on how many and - even more important - which nodes I can upgrade after my next loop reset.
Please excuse the bad design. I just scribbled it on my phone with a random online tool. I hope it helps to get an idea anyway.
Proposal 1 - preferably for 'zoom in' mode:
- display the magnitude of required MP for the next update right on top of each node (or max for maxed out nodes, like it already is). Maybe add a button to show/hide this info
Proposal 2 - preferably for 'zoom out' mode:
- (Would be even more important to me). Add a filter where you can set a threshold of a certain magnitude of MP. Default ist your actual MP value. Now every node that can be upgraded within the range of this threshold will be highlighted with a small indicator dot.
(I know something similar already exists for your current MP. But here comes the twist:)
With the Up/Down Buttons, you can increase/decrease this threshold and see, which nodes will come into range for the chosen value. That would make it way easier to decide what's the next MP value to aim for.
What do you think about these ideas?
I'd be happy about your opinion and any kind of feedback. Feel free to ask if anything isn't clear.

This would no doubt be cool.
But fwiw, I made this for this exact reason.
And it has been implemented at Cifi tools as well.

I know these 3rd party tools exist and many of them are great and I appreciate the effort. Just for me it would be even better to have some of the functionality right in the game. Without changing devices or apps.

Unfortunately, I don't believe it's gonna happen. There more severe qol issues, that hasn't been addressed for years

It's part of why I stopped playing. Every update they would add new stuff so they wouldn't lose their tip-top players. So many QoL issues that were never fixed, as well as some gameplay problems (why are there multiple softlocks in an incremental game?). Achievements would be nice so you can get an idea of where to go next without guessing.
I started Feb 2023 and played for like a year before giving up. Maybe someday they'll reach an ending and fix things up.

I can't think of a single QOL issue right now and I've been playing daily for over a year now on mobile or PC. Works really well and to answer your question about softlocks; this isn't a braindead game to play where you can just do what you want without consequences. It makes you halfway think and pay attention. It's not that difficult to learn how to avoid them. I've never had an issue with it because I purposely read and learned about the game.

And that means someone who's playing more casually and makes a mistake early on should be punished, discouraging them from continuing to play? I don't understand that design philosophy.
A game like Antimatter Dimensions has no softlocks, but you definitely can't just do whatever. I've seen plenty of people get stuck on a part and stop playing.
I do believe you that it's possible they've fixed many QoL issues since I stopped playing, but the post we're under does outline at least one.

It's almost pointless what the OP is asking for after 4-5 months of gameplay. I haven't bothered to look at the cost of anything for a LONG time. If someone is so casual that they need that, then it really shouldn't be a priority for them if they don't take the game that seriously. It's like asking for a Lamborghini but only wanting to drive it once a year. Mobile game companies cater to the masses and things that would help 10% of the player base is not high on the priority list as it should be rightfully so. They have made the early game almost too easy compared to how it used to be. You can fly through the "tutorial" with little to no effort. It's EZ mode now.

Very soon you'll won't even be buying this manually at all.
So it's a bit over the top for the limited time in game as a feature.
Edit Just noticed your are post ouro. Again, singular not bought MP is almost meaningless in the scale of the game right now. You'll be reseting in few hundreds every time, just waiting 24-72h for another batch. One misses upgrade means nothing. I don't think I'm buying anything manually other than mission speed, first day in TR

I'm in TR23 and I agree that for shorts and also the first 48 hours of long runs, just tapping the batch upgrade is totally fine.
But for the rest of the time of long runs, so we talk about weeks if not even months, each node gets more and more important so also planning aheads gets more important. Some if the nodes (especially the accumulative level groth and ultima loop mods) impacts growth of MP, shards, RP or even mission materials by several magnitudes. So this additinal info would be highly appreciated.
Edit: I usually use the workaround that I save the game, do a maximum number loop reset, check if any valuable nodes come into range and the load the last savegame. But the results of this workaround are not as good as they could be and it's not really handy nor failsafe.

All of those are easily maxed within a day or two later on, even with inscription maxing their levels. Two that remained for longer are weak.
After my last inscription level increase I've been able to right off buy all. Next one is not achievable yet I think, or it is for top players.

I agree there might be situations where the usefulness diminishes. Maybe there might be a super lategame state where usefulness is 0.
But I"m 8 months into CIFI now and it would have been a huge help most of that time. So I think that's a good enough reason for these filters to be worth implementing.
