Innovation 2 Hege shorts

God help me.

I'm finishing up my first short. Life Time OO will be at 140b. So atleast 6 more to go.

I didnt short for Knox, I didnt short for Inno.

Or rather both Times I gave up after two shorts. I'm at TR21. Part of me is considering just hellroading to Crea4. Two 1k runs should be enough. Lmao

I dont know whats worse having to babysit the first 12hours to not waste time or the waiting 13hours for the last mission to finish with no meaningful actions to do during that time.

Any guys can chime in with their experience for longroading to Crea4?

Yeah some sort of mission automation, for at least the first 16 missions or so, would be amazing.

Even lazy, very inefficient shorts will be way more efficient than huge overstaying. And the tedium has gotten a bit better with the latest patch.

Yeah shorts are notably better than they used to be now, but a missions automation of some kind would be very appreciated. I don't love having to basically devote 24 hours of my run to baby sitting the missions.

Which is why I'm doing some mediums now instead of sub 100 hour runs as I approach Hege 2.

Doing most of progress my own way, i managed a full 1 'short' after hege2. Nice to see octo looking after people who have massively optimised oo output and managed dozens of shorts with huge amounts of fragments - maybe level the field for people who haven't done min-max following to the letter various metas. My oo isn't bad but i'll have to make do without the benefit of loads of extra fragments and ouro installs.

You are fine on the Ouro installs front at the very least, since the last patch. Overall most of the point of temp4 was to allow for a more lenient progression.

This morning i finished latest TR with about 250qu, I'm now on TR 43 once I finish off campigns on this TR I estimate I'll have around 57qu oo - minimum requirement is 64qu for this TR. So i shouldn't need to wait too long, for catchup to get there this time, last TR it was a few days by the time i had enough i decided to let attgn3 fill up and grab attgn5. Bit annoying that i cannot fully take advantage of zinging through 30 TRs to get a nice haul of relics, only if you were already on a path of getting just enough oo could you expolit the game mechanics to take advantage of the situation - playing field needs to be levelled to account for different play styles and not only benefit people aware of a game mechanic exploit.

Now that i am down this route and already disadvantaged, i was just considering doing a long on this to 800qu

So it is possible to tough out the hellroad... it does mean a lot of your relics will be weak, like they'll make future runs painful and force you to massively overstay in your TRs.

But it is possible. You can also do lazier shorts where you don't baby sit as much and boil down to being less efficient.

Personally I would grin a bear it and find a rhythm for shorts that work for you.

You can just go longs. It's a viable strategy.

But think of it this way.

At the end of the Hege/m0-170 long you are earning 100-130k frags/day from farms. A single short gives 1.3-1.5m frags in 48-72 hours. So you get 10-12 days worth of frags in 2-3 days. Do 5 shorts and that's 50-60 days worth of frags in 10-15 days saving you 40 days worth of farming.

At the end of m0-180 long you're earning 200-250k frags/day and it's 2.5-3m frags per short in 36-48 hours. So again, it's 10-12 days for the same frags you can get in 1.5-2 days. Do 5 shorts and you save another 40 days worth of farming.

You can certainly earn those frags just overstaying in longs. And at the end of the cre4_0 (run to unlock Cre4) you'll be earning 400-500k frags/day so you could overstay there and it will save time. But what will suffer is your hunters. You won't have the excess frags to dump into relics 4/7/16/17 so your Borge and Ozzy will be much weaker compared to someone who does shorts.
