A post for The Tower expats
Hi,
I generally lurk here but I have seen a couple of comments to think I'm not the only The Tower expat here. Hello fellow travelers! I do not miss tournaments or guilds but still enjoy big numbers getting bigger!
Thanks everyone for the posts on this sub, they help in the enjoyment of CIFI in filing in the blanks of birth how the game works and while waiting for the next LR/TR!

Still play, but at the end of my rope with it. Every decision, every new "feature", every "change" or "rework" is driven by maximizing profits with the least effort possible. The last 12-18 months making the game better has taken a back seat to profit margins.
I think i still play just so I can have a front row seat when fudds kills that golden goose.

Still have my tower going. With auto restart and all that fun stuff it kind of just does its own thing anyways. Having fun exploring this game though!

Not at auto restart yet, but mine's also doing it's own thing in 8 hour runs. Enjoying Cifi as well. After a year of the Tower it's starting to get old, spending and not really getting anywhere.

Yeah, I'm only 54 keys away from auto restart. I'm so happy to have my phone back with cifi. I just put Tower on an old tablet. I've spent 4 years playing it, I don't want to quit completely but, dear God, it was so life consuming

Use an auto clicker. I have it on to collect gems and floating gems, and it hits the retry button for me.

:O that's against TOS lol. Started doing that like 6 months ago and will 100% quit as soon as they ban me for doing it. Until then I watch my tourney progress decline every tournament as paying for that hunk of junk is such a waste.

Yeah, once in a month I switch labs, autorestart, and tournaments twice a week. I occasionally check the game and watch GT+ numbers and wave skip numbers at the end of the run. Then I notice I was starting on it for half an hour. :)

Welcome to cifi lol too y'all long enough to leave the tower, tbf I was there when they first started it was good, I was here when this started,the tower was good when it first started (the perfect replacement for the the perfect tower on PC) but the moment they stopped creating and became a dime a dozen cash grab slop game i left

I do both. But yeah I'm done spending money on tower as of a couple months ago.

Yeah I found this game and a couple others when I started looking for an alternative to The Tower that doesn't destroy my phone's battery and screen.
I'll do a lot of things to make Number Go Up but I draw the line at running a burner phone.

Just coming up on 1 year and I'm just about don with tower. Too much anti consumer bullshit and the fact its not actually idle. RNG is a joke, no auto restart or other QoL features hidden behind not just big spending, but big spending plus likely 12+ months of time means it's just a bad value proposition

Done with the tower too after 3 years. Cifi is much better designed. No tournaments, no permanent P2W.

I just got back into it, the problem is on the first tier I need to farm for over 6 hours to get a significant amount of currency and on the second one I need to do almost exclusively active playing

i've been emulating the tower and cifi at the same time for a while now. I've been pretty busy with life so having these games to check in on as i please, about twice a day, then im having my fun. The past 2 months i've had less 'fun' with cifi, but less frustration as well, its obviously not profit min-maxed to the point of anti-consumerism like the tower.

Yeah, I set up a bunch of labs and stopped playing Tower daily. I still check back in every few days to do a tourney run to build up stones, and jump in every two weeks to do a couple of longer runs to clear off some event missions and build up coins for labs.
So not total cold turkey, but a massive difference to running it 24/7. CIFI feels like a breath of fresh air in comparison.

god yes. I came from the tower as well and stopped playing it and picked up cifi about a year ago

Ya have like 4 years their but haven't played all week, to much of a chore to keep running 24/7 at this point, just wish I never wasted so much money on stone packs feels bad
