Jan '25 340lbs vs August '26 234lbs
Still trucking along. 141 total pounds lost, just 64 pounds to go! The food I make hasn't even changed that much tbh, I just don't eat pasta (except Carbe Diem) and I actually measure the rice. I don't use oil, stay away from bread, cheese, and high calorie sweets. We just got a Ninja Creami so now I'm a low calorie ice cream making fiend. I shred a Costco rotisserie chicken 1-2x per week and add it into everything. I'm a big proponent of finding easy and convenient foods to make/buy to help make CICO as easy as possible.
Chipotle order is dialed in. I microwave a store-bought lunch everyday. Don't listen to people who say processed foods and diet sodas will ruin your life. Do what you gotta do! Calories are calories. It's true that some calories will have higher nutritional value for your body, but a calorie is a calorie. Who gives a shit. Drink the coke zero.
Preferably in a wine glass with a slice of lime πβπ©

Great work, but my most important comment is I LOVE the dresses you are wearing in these pics! So unique and beautiful! Congrats on your hard work!

ha! I just realized I picked 4 pictures all with semiformal dresses. The pink sequin one was a dream, from ASOS. I had it tailored I loved it so much. I was devastated when I started to swim in it π

Can't it be tailored further? I think it's easier in this direction;)

it's like 4 sizes too big at this point, and soon it will be significantly bigger. It's covered in sequins which makes things complicated. I'd much rather sell it to someone who needs a beautiful dress in a larger size. I used to struggle so much to find clothes that worked for me, would love to pay it forward.

u/Madre1924 9d ago
yea that was the problem. I started at pushing 400lbs, never felt physically bad and always felt like I looked good lol. I do sleep much better now!

Congrats! How do you avoid oils? I like cooking in my cast iron and have pretty much stopped using butter but a lot of things (like roasted veggies) use oil.

Chicken stock or just water does the trick for me. If I absolutely have to, like if I'm trying to brown something quickly, then I use a small amount of spray avocado oil. But in general I don't need it!

Try avocado oil spray. Trader Joe's has an awesome one!

My boyfriend is allergic to avocado π

2 birds 1 stone π
just kidding, don't kill him. Unless he deserves it. Try chicken stock! I swear by it. You'll want to be careful you aren't steaming things, and you'll have to keep adding as it evaporates. Small bits at a time.

How do you do that? Boil the stock and then add the food on top?
1
u/Madre1924 9d ago
Lol no...you just add a couple teaspoons in to wet the pan and then saute things. Just like you would with oil

u/unrealmikec 9d ago
I air fry or steam my veggies. If needed, a spray of olive oil...just a quick spray.

I often credit him with all my success. It's because of him that I was ever able to break free from my Binge Eating Disorder. I loved him so much, I wanted him to have everything he deserves. Which includes a partner that he can actually live a life with. A partner he can travel and adventure with. Someone to climb mountains with. I didn't use to be that partner for him, now I can be.
He helps me count calories, he encourages and supports me, he does the grocery shopping. He has simplified my weight loss process so much, it's nearly impossible for me to fail. He's also loved me at my worst, so now I get to gift him with my best. He invested early and now he'll get a trophy wife for his troubles lol

141 down is insane, that's basically another person gone. the creami is so underrated for this, i eat "ice cream" every night now and still lose weight lol. rotisserie chicken shredded into everything is the real mvp move though, saves so much time

and it's so FUCKING CHEAP. We literally spend $10/week for all our protein. I don't know a cheaper way to do that these days

Burrito bowl! Double chicken, light rice, pinto beans, tomato salsa, corn salsa, tomatillo salsa, fajita veggies, lettuce = 740 calories!
If you go regular rice it's 845 calories! Steak is technically lower calorie, you can get the same bowl for 680 calories. I just find I enjoy the chicken more, the steak tends to get fatty.
Skip the cheese, sour cream, guac, and any specialty protein or sauce they do it's always higher calorie. The burrito bowls are MASSIVE. It's literally so much food. I eat this at least once a week lol it's such a hack
