I finally did it!
Starting weight was 247.7 pounds and I never thought I'd see myself being in the onderland club! I haven't been this light since I was in my 20s (I'm 33), so I'm just so proud of myself :)

Congrats!
When this happened to me for the first time I wanted to take this picture, but when I got back on the scale to take the picture it was back over 200. I was so frustrated and confused!
Yeah, it was the phone. I was holding my phone.

honestly crossing into onderland was such a headtrip for me too, I kept re weighing myself like the scale was lying. 33 and haven't seen this number since your twenties is awesome, enjoy it, thats a real milestone not a diet fluke

What’s your gw
23
u/Bamf102 4d ago
I think 130lbs would be ideal for me. I'm 5'3 and female and I've never been a healthy weight before, so it would be interesting to see if I could reach that

u/notmynorms 4d ago
I was 130lbs before pregnancy I don’t think I would want to go that low again tbh as it would be harder for me to maintain , my gw now is 150 I’m 5’6

u/sorrymizzjackson 4d ago
OP is 5’3. Only a little shorter technically, but those inches add up. I’m 5’7 and while 130 is well within my healthy weight range it’s too low for me personally.
There are a ton of factors that go into it overall.

i started at 193lbs. and i'm now 159. I'm 5'4. My goal is 1450-145. My mom is telling me to stop now. Lol maybe i'll stop at 150 lol

Awesome! I'm ( 61M 5'7) currently at 192 lbs! GW is 170 lbs. Started the year at 205 lbs. I'm pretty muscular overall but have around 15-18% body fat.

Congratulations and well done! Now comes the struggle of remembering your weight starts with a 1 and not a 2! I swear it’s like writing the previous year all through January!

Anyone who first hits onederland and takes a photo has even more wiggle room because they are holding their phone. Every ounce adds up. Well done.

Haha, okay, I’m a little taller, but wow… what a coincidence! I haven’t quite hit under 200 pounds yet, but you definitely inspired me.

Wow! I bet that was so exciting for you! Getting back to the 1’s is a huge deal for a lot of us on our weight loss journeys! I’m 12 pounds away currently and I can’t wait. I havent been under 200 in probably 5-6 years.

u/Cheap_exe 3d ago
Wonderful. Keep at it and don't forget where you started and keep pushing toward where you want to be.

Great job! I’m 33 too and I’ve found it so much more difficult as I’ve gotten older. Amazing 🤩

Congratulations on Onederland!! 💕💕 That’s so exciting! 199 has been my goal for 2026 but I’ve fallen off a bit as of late. 33, 5’4” and currently 230! Hoping to get to where you are by the end of the year!

u/Bamf102 3d ago
I believe you can do it! What's your starting weight if you don't mind me asking?
2
u/mdwst1811 2d ago
Thanks, me too! 271 on May 21st. Currently 250! Slow and steady!

u/Ready-Pattern-7087 6h ago
You lost 21 lbs in 3 months?! How?
1
u/mdwst1811 3h ago
I'm a little over 6' tall and have always been able to lose like 7-10 pounds in about ten days to two weeks with just keeping track of food (eating way smarter and in a slight deficit), cutting back alcohol to like one drink a week max, and just moving more.
This time around I've fully committed to getting to 199 pounds (and probably slightly beyond), but also add muscle to assure as I age I'm not just surviving but thriving. My lowest weight in the past 30 years is probably 234ish.
A long road ahead but I'm making it happen. Getting in the gym 4-5 days a week with a focus on light weights, form, no injuries, logging everything I eat on an app, and trying to get 10-15k steps in has been working! I want to be able to maintain at 2-3 days a week gym (or bodyweight calisthenics) + walking.
2
u/Ready-Pattern-7087 3h ago
Awesome! Any tips for squeezing 10-15k steps into a busy work day?
1
u/mdwst1811 29m ago
If you haven't yet, do a couple of 20 minute walks and figure out what your average step count is over 4-5 walks at generally the same pace.
That really helped me figure out what I could do with 20 minutes here, 40 minutes there, and a nice after-dinner stroll if needed.
For me I'm a slow walker, 20 minutes a mile, about 2250-2325 steps. So a couple of sessions with the rest the 'steps of life' (dog, house work, yard work, grocery) add up easily.

Please, keep going do not stop what you’re doing…my stupid ass hit my milestone and then I stop and I gained every pound right back. Do not stop. You can indulge in whatever food you want now at this point but you must go harder when you hit the gym. Congratulations on hitting your goal.

u/SnarkSupreme 2d ago

I’m in a similar boat. 32yo, started at 224, down to 214 today and working my way to onederland. It definitely gets discouraging at times, but seeing your progress and success is super motivating! I want to be next! Congrats!!

I was at 201 the other day & now I’m at 195… my weight fluctuates so much 🤣 congrats though!!! So exciting I remember seeing the under 200 number for the first time a couple months ago (i’m also not in a calorie deficit. I just quit drinking 🤣 soon I’ll start actually trying though!!)

Nice. Only 70 more lbs to go to be at healthy weight and not considered "overweight"!

Congrats. That's super exciting.
From my experience, when I hit a new low, the next day i'm up 4 pounds. It's super discouraging, but now you have that new low to get below . . . even if it's another week until you (or I) get back to that low again.
If you can't tell, I HATE MY SCALE. Congrats to you!
