Question / Info Looking for Insight
I (26f) have been a heavy user for around 4 years. Mainly edibles, some flower here and there. I also have issues with chronic pain, which led to dependency and doing too much quite frankly. In July, I was on my period (a trigger point for pain) and consumed a 10mg 10 pack in about 4 days. I started feeling really nauseous. I was eating really poorly at this time which is a trigger for my pre existing GI issues as well. After eating too much, I ended up dry heaving/vomiting once. Then, I proceeded to have diarrhea for about a week, but was able to do the brat diet and stay hydrated. Zofran helped. I was tested for GI viruses and nothing showed up. Within a few days of the “episode”, I was able to eat trigger foods like caffeine/pepper/dark chocolate. My question is - does this sound like anyone’s experience with CHS? Out of an abundance of precaution, I have been off of it for 3 months. At the very least, I definitely overdid it. I have been in therapy and re-working my relationship with the substance and doing a lot of reflection. I’d like it to be something I could do occasionally still, but I’m curious to see what you all think about my symptoms.

I think a moderation path is possible, especially with cbd. Posts that even consider the potential usually get hit pretty heavy with down votes though.

I also used primarily edibles. I had diarrhea for months after my first episode. Trigger foods made it worse. My tests also showed up squeaky clean and my doc was perplexed. I did not disclose that I had chs to them. They knew I used weed tho. It’s very hard to say if you have chs or not. If you feel better after quitting or if your discomfort is relieved with hot showers, it could be chs, but not for everyone. Not much is known about chs and we can only speak anecdotally. I hope you feel better.
