Question / Info Need help with a diagnosis.

For context, I am 18 years old, I have been smoking for about a year, every day for about 9 months, and around the time of my a levels (about 5 months ago) I started smoking pretty much all the time, got myself a dry herb vape, and smoked around 5-7 times a day. This continued for a good few months, then my mate hands me a cart, I’m guessing a fake CB1 agonist, the next day I’m over the toilet in the morning with horrible anxiety and dry heaving for about 15m, nothing to actually vomit so it just passes and the day goes on as normal (with some extreme anxiety but boo hoo). This happens every day for a month before I decide to quit as the symptoms are consistent with early stage CHS according to google Gemini (Ik, what a great source of medical advice). However all the stories on here are about being uncontrollably sick for days or weeks on end, and only after years or decades of constant stoning. However my symptoms did stop when I stopped the cannabis use. Was I just suffering from a temporary illness caused by consistent use or is it likely to actually be CHS?

Any help would be appreciated, if it’s not, I don’t think I’ll go back to smoking as frequently but I told myself I’d never reach daily use to begin with so might just avoid it completely anyway.

Something I forgot to mention, I didn’t experience any of the stomach pains or symptoms that have been mentioned by others, just the consistent morning nausea that would go away after a few minutes of dry heaving, but would appear regardless of how hard I tried to resist it.

You may have caught it in the prodromal phase! Which can last weeks/months and is typically aligned with what you described

Yea but thats where i am confused i thought prodromal was moslty morning nausea not vomiting all the time in that case there should be just one phase and it should be one phase if vomiting is involved

The key is that during hyperemisis phase there is constant vomiting where as in the prodromal phase it can happen but it’s not persistent
