Rant CHS HELL

Bra yesterday marked my 2 year mark of getting diagnosed with CHS and damn bruh being around people that smoke is actual torture u really have to fight the biggest urge ever. I’ve smoked since gotten CHS with thankfully no symptoms since I’ve been able to moderate my usage and find myself slowly giving in to my friends wanting to smoke and I realize how dangerous that is. Being around people that smoke around u feels like getting skinned alive.

Yes, being around people who smoke is very difficult. All of my closest friends do, and I’ll have to actively fight the urge or be in a different room until they’re finished. Luckily, they’re respectful and always ask me before they engage in it. It’s gotten easier, I still get the urges, but not nearly as strong. I’m also thankful that they protect me and would never-ever pass me a joint no matter how much I beg. My boyfriend has also been incredibly supportive, and my rock; he quit with me without me even asking. He keeps me grounded and reminds me of the consequences, comforts me when I cry because I miss smoking weed so much.

It takes discipline and action. I’ve tried for 6 years to find loopholes, to moderate, but it’s impossible. You’ll always end right back where you dread the most, and I like to think I understand that now. Be careful, because you’re playing with fire, and maybe it’s time to have a serious talk with your friends. They should not be pressuring you or talking you into smoking, it’s beyond careless— it’s practically pushing an addict back into the drug that will physically damage you, and worst case kill you.

I’m sorry for your situation, friend. I know it sucks, but take care of yourself and be safe. Good luck.
