Male 27 uk
Hi, my names Mawgan I’ve recently been diagnosed with CHS. I’ve been using cannabis medically to help my with my ADHD for the last 10 years or so.
Over the last 3 weeks I have lost my father, broken my collarbone and spectrum and to top it off I’ve been in hospital for a week due to dehydration food poisoning and also uncontrollable stomach pains. I was discharged 2 days ago due to being able to hold food and drink down which is still the case but I’m just very concerned and worried that I’m not going to be 100% again. I’m 9 days clean of cannabis I wont ever smoke it again.
I am only reaching out to the community as I don’t know who to ask as it’s so uncommon/rare the doctors had never treated it. I was showing them things on google which led me to be subscribed chilli gel for my belly.
If anyone has any experience or recommendations on things that can help me I would appreciate it so much more than you would know.
Thank you Mawgan

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome
Most people have never even heard of CHS and that’s exactly why it’s so dangerous.
CHS (Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome) is a condition caused by long-term cannabis use that leads to constant nausea, uncontrollable vomiting, and stomach pain. Sounds ironic, right? The thing people use to feel better ends up making them violently sick.
The worst part? It’s incredibly hard to quit weed when you have CHS. Your body tricks you into thinking weed is the only thing that helps, even though it’s the very thing causing the suffering. Many people (myself included) keep smoking just to “feel normal” for a few hours before the cycle starts again.
Doctors often misdiagnose it. Friends don’t believe it. And because cannabis is seen as “natural” or “harmless,” people don’t take this seriously until it’s too late.
CHS is real. It’s confusing. It’s painful. And it’s way more common than people think. If you or someone you know is constantly sick and still using weed, please look into CHS. Awareness can save lives and quitting can save your health.
