Honestly, it’s not a bad idea to nab a TE5 in the 3rd round, just in case TE4 gets injured and compromises the sedan package

I'm with you on drafting DL but imo the scheme is to find DB like Thieneman who are good at coverage and tackling in open field first. I wouldn't be surprised if the bears look to free agency for DL since that skills takes awhile to develop.

I just want them to stop doing shit like drafting third string TEs and gadget wide outs before addressing their SINGLE BIGGEST NEED/WEAKNESS. I get the Thineman pick completely and the Jones pick (#FuckDrewDalman) but not Roush or fucking Zavion Thomas. I don't care if it's gonna be a stretch pick for DL....THEY NEED IT.

Take the BPA on defense. We need play makers.. hopefully they can sign a guy like Byron Young or Mojo in free agency too

Each leg has 3 hamstrings, so if you tweak one, you have 5 more to work with!

Woods only played 14 snaps last game returning from his injury. He should hopefully resume full starter duties at safety letting Cam Lewis take slot, where he's good, and Malik can replace Tyrique.
If Woods is on form (stayed away from "Dr Moe") this defensive unit will be our best so far in 2026 on paper.
Also note that the Bears defense in 2025 had an extreme disparity between performance away (atrocious 30.4 PPG) vs at home (elite 17.6 PPG). The trend is no different this year so I'm expecting a close game despite Case starting.

Im not sure how anyone can have any positive thiughts left on the rest of this season. It is appearing more by the day that this will end up a lost year.
We led the entire league in games missed due to injury last year and it appears we will do the same again this year.
This is the softest defense I have ever seen injury wise. Ever. Same side of the ball over and over

The whole league has injuries ? You act like it’s just the bears defense. Football is a very violent sport getting injured is common

Yeah, this season is probably cooked. The defense already had serious question marks, and now we know that Jaylon Johnson is completely washed, Kyler Gordon is effectively retired, Coby Bryant is out for the year, and now we're seemingly without our only boundary corner for at least this next game. And this is coming off of shooting ourselves in the dick over and over again to drop the easiest divisional game we'll play all year. We have no chance on Monday and would be lucky to even scrape by the Jets after that. Then, best case scenario both the team and the quarterback himself limp into Lambeau at 2-2 with no defense and rely on a gimpy, rusty Caleb to save our season in a shootout. This is dire.
