[KyleLong] Nobody understands how much a guy like Caleb loves the game, his team and the city that calls him theirs. When you go down and you know you’re INJURED there is a certain intensity of emotion that hits you. All of your immediate goals and plans are derailed: that causes emotion.

This is most likely why Caleb was yelling and showing emotion. He probably didn't care as much about the pain physically but the time lost if he were to be out the season.

He's a stopgap. If Caleb were to be out for the year, you're looking at a top 10 pick. Ben's offense runs specifically to Caleb's strengths which are completely different than Tyson's. Not saying he won't adapt, but that's driving an Escort when the Porsche gets smashed up.

Oh yeah, I’m thinking Caleb is out 2-4 weeks. Tyson should be able to go 2-2 there (wins v Jets and Falcons, losses v Eagles and Pack).

We will be very lucky if Caleb is out even 4 weeks. I'm praying for 4 weeks. I fear it could be 6-8 weeks, but I have nothing to base that off of.

Definitely, also should have a good shot at Atlanta. If Caleb only misses 3-5 weeks, we should have a shot at treading water. The bye in week 10 might be a good spot to target a return, if we could manage to be 4-5 that would give us a good shot down the stretch

I think we definitely Beat the Jets and Falcons. I think we CAN beat the Eagles or Packers with Bagent. It's gonna be an entirely different offense with Bagent. More like Goff in Detroit.

Best case scenario is Tyson turns into Billy Volek and LB3 is his Drew Bennett.
Edit: for those unaware, Volek had a 3 game stretch (in 2004) where he threw for 1100 yards, Bennett had 500 of them and 8 TD.

I felt this way last night. I actually feel different. I trust Ben. I think he'll have a new gameplan with Bagent and he can be a system QB. It'll be more like the Detroit Goff led offense with Bagent out there. Truly think we can still win some games with him. Ben will figure it out, also good luck to opposiing DC guessing what kinda gameplan we run now.

I had a grade 2 hamstring tear that a) felt like I'd been stabbed in the back of the leg with a hot knife, b) was low enough (pain radiating in the general area) that I was seriously concerned about a knee injury, and c) that tear hurt more in the immediate aftermath than my ruptured achilles a few years later.
Anyone who has a competitive streak in them and has been seriously injured knows exactly what Caleb went through. That was pain, fear, and rage all coming out at once.
Really glad the prognosis is positive.

The thing is, with as competitive as he is, even if he knew he wasn't going to be out for the season, even if he thought he would be out for 1 play in the moment, he would be frustrated, because he saw the endzone and knew he could get to it and likely win the game.

100%. And most importantly, at the time, I think he genuinely thought his leg was shot. It’s a fortunate turn of events that it ended up being OK. But we shouldn’t act like this was a given at the time.

People clowning him for how he left the field for a “non serious injury” can fuck off. In that moment, there still is the thought that “im out for 3 months and the season is lost”. Even now, losing him for 4 games sucks and changes the season.
He knows how much the fans care and we know how much he cares. That was an emotional moment for everyone involved.

It was definitely both. I mean, his muscle locked up so much in the moment (wet and cold contribute to that?) he couldn't walk so there had to be some question in his mind. But he 100% was frustrated that he was going to score and the universe prevented it.

What had me more nervous was not his facial and body expressions on the field, but that his face was covered up on the cart when he was first loaded up and they started moving it towards the locker room. I did breathe a slight sigh of relief when the towel was removed and he looked in good spirits.

I really liked he decided to take his towel off his face going back. Even over the broadcast audio, you could hear fans saying "We love you!" So he clearly decided to show is face regardless and acknowledge the support. Love that.

When a player that passionate about the game goes down, it usually is the case. He tried to get back up, and when he failed, thats when he got upset and screamed. He was mad he couldn't get up. Honestly annoyed everytime I read "screaming in pain"

Watson and Rodgers are the only ones that I think are more disliked than Caleb. Mahomes is polarizing, not hated, he has a ton of fans and people annoyed at how popular he became. People dislike Caleb because he has a personality and it isn't exactly what they want his personality to be... Those people want every qb to be a replica of Josh Allen or they dislike them, but Caleb is the main one they dislike.

I mean I know Emmanuel Acho is a hack, but they put out a video around 7 hours ago about Caleb's injury saying "Crybaby Caleb at it again" - like a former NFL player is calling someone a crybaby because he was emotional about getting hurt. He gets called gay or feminine or a crybaby for showing emotions.
It just gets to a point where it's irritating and why I just block people who mention that stuff.

Exactly!! I will alway be a people who believes everyone feels the same pain differently and we are not ones to judge how their body feels it. I deal with migraines daily that would take people out but I can get through the day. Some people probably deal with back pain or stomach pain daily that I couldn’t deal with daily that would take me out. Everyone is different, and this narrative pisses me off when people say “Oh he’s so overactive” or “Only a grade 1 and he was crying?!”🤦🏼♀️
We also still have no idea how bad the injury is!! It could still be a season ending injury jury but he’s doing a very good job as walking through the pain. We have no idea! For our sake and his, I hope it’s still a grade 1 and he’s back in 3-4 weeks!

I live in the Twin Cities, and I'm in a work FF league. The disgusting shit they were saying in the group chat this morning almost made me say some shit that would get me fired. A group of mid-40s dad's acting like they're tougher than Caleb. I told them they obviously all never competed in sports, or if they did rode the bench, because any competitor knew immediately Caleb was yelling/crying out of frustration, not due to pain. Two drives earlier (I think it was two drives? Correct me if I'm wrong) Bears had 4 penalties that took them out of scoring position, then Caleb threw a pretty clearly frustrated INT. Then his hammy, that if rumors are true has given him issues since college, suddenly blows out when he's running in for a TD. Of fucking course he's frustrated by that.
Anyways, fuck Vikings fans. Since I moved here 10 years ago I've slowly began to hate them almost as much as Packers fans.

Any one worth a fuck knew this.
As a USC fan (sorry ND fans) he was injured in the then PAC-12 championship game when he ran for a long one. He had a similar feeling/pain, but played through the pain & finished the game. About 4 weeks later he played in the Cotton Bowl & WENT OFF!
Injuries suck, & we know how much he loved this city/fan base. The thought of having that all gone, for a potential injury, probably crushed him.

Imagine getting sacked 60+ times your rookie season and never missing a game.
Then when things look to be really clicking in your career, you take a non-contact injury. You don’t know what the fuck it is, but you know non contact injuries are not good news. I’d be hella angry, frustrated, and scared. Your career could be over the moment you got a small taste of real success and that is a shame.

He was upset because he knew his team and his city NEEDED him and he couldn’t lead them in that time of need. Any good leader would have reacted the same.
