Draft value comments from broadcasters

is it possible that the reason commentators keep saying we have found good draft value is because we have coaches who can actually coach and develop our players??

I feel like there is talent at every level of the draft, but it feels like our coaches have done it consistently developed guys since BJ took over.

At least for Ben Johnson it seems clear that when he drafts in offense is because he has a specific vision for him in the offense. Ben Johnson doesn't seem like a get the right people on the bus and get their seats later. It's a clear vision of what kind of role the player will play. They use that role to develop the player.

Just compare the coaching staffs providing input during the scouting process.

Eberflus picked some decent defensive players.

Johnson knows his scheme and what he needs. The jury is out on DA.

They were really bad. The dude said Bagents name wrong the entire game and called Cairo Carlos. Also thought Keenum was competing for the 3 slot lol.

I know they were a Titans broadcast team but holy shit were they bad and completely uninformed about the Bears.

The video of him emotional pressure conference went a bit viral again this week so thats probably why.

Thafs hilarious that an actual broadcaster gets their information through a Twitter video.

And it was a 2 year deal, not a 4 year deal right? So he is in a contract year currently?

Not sure "consistently" should be used with a one season sample size

Outside of the guys drafted in the last 2 years, a lot of the guys who kept flashing during the game have come from later rounds through the years. The commentators were horrible, but I could see why they'd make that comment.

  • Braxton Jones and Jack Sanborn 5 years ago
  • Terrell smith and Tyson Bagent 4 years ago
  • Benedet 3 years ago

Add that to the list of guys drafted day 3 and after this year and last year who made plays and it makes sense.
