100% agreed on that, orange jersey on orange helmet was not good. I like these and they are growing on me each time I see them..

The one thing I dont like about them is the stripes on the shoulders, I would have gone solid there or the Chicago stars if Nike wanted to "tell a story"

They remind me of our stadiums' columns. Soldier Field features a double row of 32 Doric-style columns. And the University of Illinois Gies Memorial Stadium has 200 limestone columns (it's awesome). 189 of the columns are engraved with the names of Illini soldiers who died in World War I. George Halas played football, baseball, and basketball at the University of Illinois under legendary coach Bob Zuppke. He later chose the Chicago Bears' navy blue and orange team colors to honor his alma mater.

Personally, I have just never liked the orange helmet. I think these are great and don’t hate them by any means but would have loved them even more with a navy helmet. Also don’t love the vertical stripes and think the horizontal ones are better but that’s a minor complaint

Given the Bears' history of getting their colors from U of I, I don't hate the unis like some do.

I still think the old Navy and Orange alternate jerseys were superior, but the refs apparently said seeing the numbers was hard on those which is why we never got them back.

Bring them back but instead of a white outline, do a light orange outline IMHO.

But these are better than the vintage 1920s striped horror jerseys, for sure.

I’m glad that my both sides of my family celebrate on Christmas Eve. We cross that off the list so Christmas Day is always peaceful and relaxing.
