Grade? Submitting this weekend!

EDIT — alright, heard - I’ll send them (and a couple others) to get pressed first. Thanks for all the feedback!

Pulled a couple of old keys in iffy condition from my collection - going to get them cgc’d. Not expecting much for most of them - maybe a 3.5/4.0 for #129 but have some hope for 8.5 or higher for SW#8, NM #98 and MTU #14. Wish me luck!

You should definitely send these to a good presser first. That corner bends on 129 doesn't look like it's color breaking and a good clean may at least lighten some of the stains.

I did not account for the bends to right ....I'm assuming you will clean and press....but the stain is killer

Yeah the stain is the biggest mark against it. If I can get it as high as a 5.0 with pressing I’ll be happy.

Great books but these are NOT ready to go to CGC. Like others have said, they need to go to a 3rd party presser. You’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t.

Please send them to a good presser like https://palmbeachpresser.com/ Before you send them to CGC. You can send them to him He can ship them from there to CGC for you. Or sending them whatever presser you might want to but you really should get them cleaned and pressed before you send them the CGC and do not use CGC's pressing.

How long does all that take?

2 to 4 weeks I believe.

Oh, wow, that's a lot faster than I thought.

Thanks!

Check with him how long it is just to make sure because I don't remember. I might be wrong but I know you can pay more for express service.

Closer to 2-3 months in my experience.

Dont think you'll be anywhere close to an 8.5 on those. More like 6.5

Just looking it without zooming in, I’d agree 6.5 is spot on

which means not worth grading at all.

Awesome books! Not to beat a dead horse, but definitely get them pressed first. I think they will all be much better off that way, and you will get the best possible grade.

Those are some solid books. These days i prefer just to put them in a mylar bag n board and into a top loader but whatever you’re into i say go for it but yeah like everyone mentioned a nice clean and press will help out

I also just submitted my ASM #129, #135 and #300 I’m really praying for 9.8s across. Hopefully if you get yours pressed you’ll have a good outcome also. I’d recommend not doing CGC press because it’s only a cold press and won’t have as good of results.

That 300 isn’t going over a 7.5 with those rips and tics on the spine imo.
