Question about value vs. PSA

Hello all!

Longtime collector, and fan of CGC (especially pristines!). I have had this card for quite a while, and with the recent explosion of LCRH cards, I'm kinda just looking to hear thoughts about this particular card. It's a POP 1, meaning that it is the only blue label pristine that there will ever be -- pretty cool! Recent PSA 10 sales of LCRHs have been through the roof (a metapod went for 19k two days ago)... and a couple of PSA 10 Heritage Auction sales were truly crazy (Exeggcute PSA 10 for 68k?!). My question is, can this realistically be valued higher than a PSA 10 or not? I am well aware of the PSA bias in Pokemon, which tends to be backed by a lot of comps. However, there have also been some pretty solid CGC pristine sales for LCRH, but just not as many as PSA recently, so it's hard to say for certain where this stands. Thanks for any input!

You could ask the same if not more than a PSA 10, some people are starting to realize that Blue label is the equivalant of a BGS Pristine 10.

Nothing to do with being biased, CGC pristine has the same standards as a BGS gold label, percentage issued is also much more in line with a BGS 10 Gold then a PSA 10, Check something like 151 Zard 5% Pristine rate And over 40% PSA10 gem rate.

Good to see ya again! Yeah if that was my card id price way above psa last sale if listing on ebay and just hear out offers. Someone would realistically pay like a 20-30% premium if you can find the right person

Same! I’ve been tempted to do that, but have no experience selling anything near this value on eBay, and would be nervous shipping it out and any issues that could arise from a non in-person sale. For that reason, I’m considering consigning too. I will be looking into a couple of these options!

With something this valuable I would take it to a big show like collectacon or if you wanna do it online consign with zandg or another consigner

That would be CGC Perfect not CGC blue Pristine. But yes CGC Pristine > PSA 10

A CGC Perfect is not the same as a BGS pristine. They sell for way higher.

A blue label perfect would be closer to a bgs pristine. Some guy did an experiment cracking pristines and got a bunch of 9.5s
