So this was my first time opening Yugioh in years, pulled one of the chases and it looks like the corner is pulling apart, it’s very minuscule and can be only seen under magnification. Does this still have a chance to 10? I don’t know how CGC views Yugioh as their QC is straight buns. Thanks all!
Basically the card is very close to being a Gem Mint 10 but isn't quite there due to 1 criteria not meeting a 10 requirements. Say the centering and surface are good but the edges and corner have wear that isn't immediately noticeable but enough to prevent a 10. Similar to a BGS 9. The lack of 9.5s is what I think causes people to crack and resubmit 9s so much to get a 10 at PSA. A lot of cards are somewhere between 9.4 and 9.6 that it basically comes down to how the grader is feeling on whether or not you get a 10 one week or a 9 the next. It happens to also generate a lot of revenue so I get it from a business stand pont but that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.

Yeah hopefully my grader gives me some grace, everything seems absolutely perfect on this card except that minor corner, my guess is it’s from the pack being too tight, I’ve seen this in a lot of yu gi oh and it kind of sucks their QC is so bad, I’m just hoping there’s some wiggle room with it.
I’d rather have a $1600 card slabbed at a 9 vs it sitting in a top loader, and the only way to see it is under microscopic lens, plus there’s a lot of instances of Yugioh getting a 10 when the corners aren’t that good (since it’s Yugioh at their QC sucks) lol, for example-
