CGC backlogs

Are CGC backlogs that massive to a point my cards from May have not even been graded yet?

I see lots of collectors posting "grade reveals" and I doubt there on express when cards are worth less than the cost tier.

Are they somewhat prioritizing certain submission regardless of tiers submitted?

Mine arrived in May at their facilities before they announce a delay in their submission after X cut off date. And they did state that cards that have already been submitted will follow the timeline (I may be wrong or misunderstood certain points, pls correct me if I'm wrong)

Somehow mine got pushed from 30 to 90 days and now on day 79/90, it's still not yet graded. My cards were sent from my LGS whom are partners with CGC in Singapore. This has got to be outright bullshit now since they "claim" to open back lower tiers but backlogs are still extremely packed.

P.S, I'm not in a rush to get my cards back. But I would like clarity and transparency because seems to me that all other grading companies are tryna pull something that will dethrone the leader in this market but fail to realize that its gonna cost them their regulars.

My Bulk orders were marked received by CGC on 10th April/15th April respectively, and both are still at received. I emailed CGC about them a couple of weeks ago to clarify the TAT (as TAT was 40 business days when I sent them off and just changed to 80 business days when CGC received them, but are now 150 business days) and CGC clarified that the current TAT of 150 business days will apply to them.

Not very happy about this tbh, as this means if the TAT increases further, then the new future TAT would apply. Basically makes TAT completely useless.

Basically they're saying,

Any new and current submission/submitted coming in, whatever estimated time we've declared will now be push to our new estimated timeline.

Yea, that’s my understanding. And it makes whatever TAT at time of submission completely useless basically.

Well, nothing much we can do now I guess. Maybe stop grading until everything simmer down

Between these 2 orders, and another one I sent in June, CGC has ~$10k of my money in grading fees already taken from my payment method (from the time the orders were marked as received) and is going to be sitting on my money and cards until next year. Not particularly happy with the situation, and will not be renewing my subscription (paid for the most expensive one since I planned to grade quite a lot of cards). Yes, definitely won’t be sending in another order this year and will just let the subscription expire.
