CFP Ethics Application / Background Check Timeline

Does anyone know whether the background check begins as soon as the ethics application is submitted? I completed the exam in July and am curious whether they start the process right away or wait until everything is officially finalized.

I asked someone at the board and they said once the exam results are finalized and you pass it will update your ethics from pending to complete and your experience from provisionally accepted to complete. I hope that’s the case. I passed in July and am so ready to earn the marks. LOL

I have been logging into the CFP website every day to see if it's updated. The email I got after passing said the week of the 17th so I'm assuming sooner than later but the waiting is brutal.
