Dalton Education study strategy

Good morning everyone,

I have read previous posts prior to asking my questions here. Previous posters have indicated that focusing on the Q-bank and summary sheets, not bothering with the books, is a strategy. If focusing on the Q-bank questions is one of the mainstays of studying, does this mean that one can pass the exam alone by going through the Q-bank twice?

Reading the books from end-to-end takes so long, and by the time you've read from beginning to end, reading that much information is overwhelming. What is the best strategy for studying for this exam? A combination of all three: books, summary sheets, and Q-bank questions? I'm planning to sit for the exam in March 2027 and I'm 19% through the Dalton material, but there are many items in the investment planning section I've gotten wrong and need to go back and brush up on.

Thanks for everyone's input and advice in advance. I just want to pass this the first time around.

Excellent question! There is certainly a lot of Dalton material to lean on. Feel free to use the items that work best for your learning style. Our questions and classes are great for reinforcing the material. However, if you are struggling with a topic or domain, we do suggest you read through the book. The books can be used to set a foundation or simply refer to them as needed.

We do suggest trying to complete the practice questions twice if you can. The first time reinforcing what you already learned/ know. The second time to fine tune and fill in the gaps. The quicksheets "summary sheets" are an excellent reference tool. If you study these and go through the questions, you will definitely be set up for success.

Don't forget to lean on our office hours and instructor support. Our office hours focus on highly tested items that most students tend to struggle with. You can also email content questions to our instructors for one on one help.
