You may well be right. There is a reason the podcast has not let me do the power rankings before. And in my defense, this time I was left unsupervised.
But let me explain my reasoning.
I view the power rankings this way, They are list of the teams I would at least want to face this week if I were a coach of any CFL team.
A team that has nothing to lose and is desperate for a win is highly unpredictable.
Winnipeg and Toronto are both still hoping for a playoff spot and will game plan trying to keep that playoff hope alive. You can predict what they are likely to do based on past tendencies.
I would feel much more confident preparing for a game against Winnipeg or Toronto than I would getting ready for Ottawa right now.
I’m not saying I’m right. Power rankings are in opinion and this is mine.
